I have been involved with Blossomtime for a few years now and I have a pretty good understanding of how things work. This kind of thing happens quite often where the one everyone in the audience thinks should win doesn't because of a previous record. The queen has to have a squeeky clean record (atleast as far as the committee and Blossomtime know).
