I cannot believe that the Council of Standish is so short sighted as to think that bringing such people as the Guantanamo Bay prisoners to Michigan would be a good thing. The prisoners of this type have already influenced/converted others with whom they have contact in this country. This issue is bigger than taking the chance of bringing some revenue to your community on a one-time basis instead of bringing your community together to improve or start real business or industry without this risk. These people are not nice Christians or Jews we are used to dealing with. Their ideology wishes us dead. They wish to take over our country as they are close to doing in Europe by sheer numbers and they are very serious. You need to become much more informed before you agree to do such an outrageous thing. Just think, there was a reason that these people have been kept off our shores for so long. The people who have kept them there knew a great deal about the situation.
