i dont think the police and fire department personnel have to live in FP. I know that one fireman bill horn, lives in River Grove and actually ran for Trustee in River Grove.. heck I think he won maybe.. dunno..

I asked one of the inpectors, he said they don't take the cars home. But what I would like to know is do the others who don't have residency live outside of Franklin Park? The police and fire people have to live in Franklin Park, right?

tell you what... go to the underpass.. buy the mayor a few strong drinks,(put a tape recorder in your jacket pocket), loosen him up, ask him about the missing money, ask him about the Franklin Crossings condos, etc, etc.. give him a few drinks,,,(oh and get one of the young ladies to sit closeby... more distractions).. and get all the info .. and we will save taxpayers a couple more millions on investigations and trials.....

yea.. dont see him anymore but he did drive a squad car.. which he sat in..(maybe he did more than be a crossing guard).. maybe he gave out speeding tickets.. because he was always sitting in the squad car on Edgington and Chestnut..hmmmmmm.. if he was only a crossing guard, fp was really generous to their crossing guards..

<quoted text> I've seen him too in the past. I think he writes tickets and does part time guard crossing when needed.

the off set of the savings can be used on other project like saving a village worker job it took
me a hole two minutens to figure it out and i am

go back to there old jobs they tried there best but

Our health inspector takes a car home - why?
She makes $94,000.00 and did not even know that the police station was unsanitary and unfit to occupy.
Also, the patrol commander was heard to say "Yipee" now I do not have to buy another car!

yea.. my neighbor is a 75 year old widow with bad osteoporosis. She has a hunched back. She has a chain link fence in back of her garage and then there;s the alley. There were some weeds there.. no one even noticed them. She got a ticket for these one or two weeds. Now does this make sense? for one or two weeds? And for this ...is why a car is given to this gal? In the meantime, a half a block away, by the train tracks that run over the underpass.. along the railroad tracks are those famous old tires and dumped tvs and dumped old computers. They have been there now going on 2 years. This health inspector drives by this and issues no tickets to anyone, nor does she make anyone clean this toxic dump? There is a no dumping sign with a $500 or $700 fine. But no one is ever issued any ticket, nor is this area monitored. But in the meantime, this poor lady who can not even bend over to pick up her newspaper, is issued a nuisance ticket for 2 or 3 untrimmed weeds. Someone needs to kick some a### in that village.. and fire the health inspector. Just a bunch of hypocrits wasting people's very hard earned money and then insulting them in this way.

If any department would really be justified in having more cars.. is the police department. The police need them more than this lame health inspector. If this health inspector was more organized with her time and her job.. she would only need to use a car 2- 3 days out of the week. She could share it with another department. Picking on poor old widows for a few weeds is not justification to give this broad a car. Driving around looking at weeds is not a priority in this economy and in our villages present financial circumstances.

if there is an appearance committee, why do we also need a health inspector checking on weeds? Isnn't that redundancy on jobs.. They both have the same job responsibilities? Why don't we just have one? Are we paying for two? Do people on those appearance committees get paid?

What about all the patrol commanders, what do they need a car at home for? They all work day shift, go home and seen no more..........
Waste - Waste - Waste!
Here is another waste - A Program Director of Special Events -
New job with this mayor - if Pederson's secetary does not know how to plan a program of events then she needs to be replaced with someone that does.
What does he think a secetary should do the days of getting coffee and taking short hand are gone.

The one who drives around in the car is just an inspector, the one who makes ninety thousand is the human resource lady and head of the health dept. I know who she is because she lives near me and I applied for a job at the village and was interviewed by her but I didn't get the job. But I do see her bring home a village car everyday and it's a nice one.

In this tough economy and in the awful financial situation FP is in.. there is no need for the Health Inspector to have a car just for her needs. someone needs to get organized. Also in winter..is there a daily need for a health inspector to go out on calls? There is a lot of waste in FP. Someone needs to learn how to prioritize in FP..

I agree with you, why should all these people have cars to take home? They don't have to pay for gas or insurance and I'm sure because we are all human they just may do a few of their own errands with those cars. This has me thinking! With finances so tight why wouldn't they just give them up for the sake of saving some money for the village? What's wrong with everyone? Couldn't these cars be put to some other use? If not, take them off the insurance and sell them. I had a job where I was on call, but they sure didn't give me a car to get to that job.

Any type of fire, the inspector must be at the scene ready to deem it "healthy enough" for residents\workers to come back in. Anything health related, they are on call

Wow! what a dumb question, no need to have a health inspector in the winter???? so what makes a health inspector more important in the summer? You should really think about your comments before you publish them for people to see they make you seem really detached from reality.

It takes a lot of time and effort to put on a festival, stop posting dumb questions. She is a secretary, she doesn't have spare time to book entertainers and vendors while she takes stupid calls from people like you...asking stupidquestions like the one above.
