Carroll proposes Rails to Trails plan for 90-mile Delta rail line

Ride a bicycle through the country? Don't think so. If so, who's going to pay for paving the trail? That leaves walking and horseback. OK, who's going to load down a backpack with supposed items purchased from local merchants along the way? No water, no toilet facilities. How about maintenance of trail, clearing dead trees, etc. Will cities and towns pay for liability? Are local law enforcement officials responsible? Too many unanswered questions from a non profit organization.

I think this would be great. It has been done all over the country.. and we need it here. I hope to hear that this is going to happen. There is no where to ride here. We can ride on the Trace, but there are no shoulders, and it seems pretty dangerous when there is traffic. The cars, and motor homes do go more than 50 mph. I will support this with work, money, and I will watch this site to see what happens. Thanks!!
