Why is it that we only see this advertisement for enablements around holiday times?
The only thing missing in the posted photo is that kind hearted gramps (95) in a Pilgrim or a Santa suit on a stretcher, after hurting his back lifting boxes of food for the camera! |

The cubscouts in our pack collected 600 pounds of food last Saturday. We are proud of the boys for spending several hours each placing door hangers then collecting the food. Thank you to the Vacaville community for sharing your food.

Also, a note to those who would like to donate, I believe you can donate money to the food bank, because sometimes the stores will give them a discounted price. Meaning if you can buy 5 bags with $20, to donate, they might be able to get 6 or 7 bags of food with that $20.(Atleast that's how the food bank of Solano/Contra Costa County works-(I organized a coin drive for them before))
Also, I agree with MirandaPen-Good job to all of the Boy scouts and Cub scouts for giving up two of their own saturdays to help the less fortunate!:) |
