what makes this whole story is the fact that this hood of a neighborhood is backed up to an elementary school. I think the place should be dozed down so the young students won't be at harm.

I sympathize with their plight but their children are at risk here.They cannot have it both ways,if they want things to improve they have to cooperate with the police.
Furthermore residents found to be harboring criminals who are not supposed to be there should be subject to eviction.Those poor kids there live in a war zone through no fault of their own,and their well being is more important than violating any "stop snitching" street code.
Tell me when this thread is updated!
