Stevey, I assume that maybe you were pointing to this article with these headlines: BUILDING COMMITTEE SETS WED MEETING.
Here's the link. http://www.citizen.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article... And here's the statement that gets me: "Selectmen hope the town can begin construction on the joint fire and police headquarters next spring, on the land already belonging to the town on Route 140 across from Allens Mills Road." I have to assume that the Selectmen must be pushing this now because federal funds need to be grabbed up now. Why else would we be spending this kind of money in a recession? What's odd is that this meeting isn't posted on any agenda (or the schedule) on the town website and the Selectmen haven't posted any minutes since Sept 21. There's been 4 meetings since then. 24 hours notice of meeting in a local paper doesn't meet the RSA for legal notice to taxpayers. Anyone know what's going on with this? |

I heard it was a result of Don Guarino's input...nothing more than that. I hear he is trying to get a committee together for this...again. Who knows, maybe there are funds only available now...

Thanks for correcting the link.So much happens and the people dont know whats going on.I only wish that elected officials would honor and respect the peoples wishes and not go off on their personal wants. For safety sakes Gilmanton need a cell phone tower more than they need a building. And a cell tower wouldnt cost the town money, (just look ugly) lol
