"as well as burglary charges in for crimes in West Sacramento."

"But Hutchinson said he physiologically competent"

Come on guys this paper needs a new editor or at least better writers.
This has been going on too long lots of typos in every democrat.
Have they just gutted your staff after the takeover?

Are you a subscriber, or did you otherwise buy your paper at a newstand? If yes, then I feel you are proper in offering criticism. If not,....

Why does it matter how he obtained his newspaper? The fact is this newspaper is a joke... wrong information, misspellings and poor content. Jim Smith is an opinionated oaf!

Yes I am a subscriber as a matter of fact.
I have had the democrat delivered to my house for the last 10 years and have seen a huge decrease in quality over the last couple of years.
Just about every day there is a major blunder in spelling or fact checking. I can see how the online content might be a little loose but "somebody" should be proofreading the paper before its printed in the very least.

I absolutely agree with you. I am constantly aggravated by all the poor sentence structure, bad grammar, misspellings, etc., and think that if each individual writer would proofread their own content, maybe there would be less errors.....or not! I wonder if minimum wage, poor education, or a rush to present articles are at fault. And I do not think the Democrat has any proofreaders but ANYONE could quickly peruse the stories (there aren't that many of them) before they go to press. Of course maybe this has been the case and we are simply dealing with incompetence throughout the newspaper.

I certainly agree that Gary needs to come back to help make the Democrat readable again. His expertise in gathering info -- all accurate -- and able to put together a interesting story, has been sadly missed. But maybe he, too, does not want to associate himself with the present Daily Democrat.
He is not alone.

Yes I believe they have been absorbed by west coast media
and cut to the bone. I have offered to help out free of charge but they don't seem interested. its a shame we will probably lose whats left of our little town paper soon.

Gary learned the basics of grammar and spelling quite early at Holy Rosary. Those teachers (nuns back then) taught well because they were dedicated and they didn't have to play office politics. Lesson there?

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Cancer

Someone dear to your heart isn't exactly a barrel of laughs today, are they? Is it your imagination or are they taking a perverse delight in spreading doom and gloom in all directions? If they've got good reason to be miserable then they deserve your sympathy, but even so it may not last for long. Try to keep active and cheerful, otherwise you'll also develop a tendency to brood.
