I thought you used your kids for like doing the dishes, mowing the lawn, taking out the trash, cleaning the kitchen, etc. etc. To me these kinds of things not only get the work done but also teaches some kind of values. ie: taking resposability, working hard for what you have......

(Balloon boy) I think the sanity of the parents should be questioned no parent in there right mind would subject there child to such harm...... at the same time I don't think taxpayers should have to pay for the stupidity of others!!!!!!!

I feel they deserve every consequence they get.
I think they should be billed for the services rendered, and I agree the tax-payers shouldnt pay that back. The judge should have probably considered some type of parenting class as well.

you know it's good that they've accepted resposibility for their actions but i wonder just how much if any jail time there will be for this. i don't think he'll do a day. if it were any other citizen in larimer county they'd still be sitting in jail. letting him out on a PR bond is a joke and letting him travel thousands of miles away for a "JOB" is an even bigger joke. i feel that the justice system has their priorities a little out of whack and the punishmet for this needs to be severe.

You have to be kidding me. How could they not have to pay back that $62,000!! That seems like the least they should have to do!!

I think we have better things to be concerned about than this. Give This Family a break who cares to spend so much time on this everyday on the news it very boring and played out have them pay back the money so it will go no where and move on

I feel that this whole escipade is unheard of. you got to jail for a dwai(2 beers) but you can have your children be involved with this type of behavior, no jail no reimbursement for me as a tax payer, and not to mention WE wonder why are kids are so screwed up these people should pay back all money incurred, jail, and family service should really look at what type of protection they are giving these kids. MOM sent back home would be a god sent for these kids

It would be nice if the media would quit giving them so much publicity. I hope the Honorable Judge will not allow their story to be sold. Also, put them in parenting classes and have their time supervised. There are alot of people who would love to have kids that would never dream of doing damaging things to them. What a selfish act on the parents.

My opinion about this is that we are making to big of a deal about this after all we've heard more about this story than the 13 killed at Fort Hood. I just hope the shooter at Fort Hood get deported and they leave Balloon Boy's Mother alone.

"LETTING" David Lane represent you says guilty as charged, pre trial. Look at what he did for Churchill in Bolder, but that’s a whole another wacko case in itself.

The craft was heading directly into DIA airspace prompting flight redirection. If a flock of birds can take down a passenger aircraft over the Hudson, wouldn’t a 20 foot wide craft such as this be able to do the same?

Yes they are guilty, and yes they should do time when they go to trial Dec. 23, and yes financial retribution should be posed.
