Off topic,Things I learned this week on the Topix

- A good number of people dont read the article before posting
- I never knew there are so many ways to call someone an idiot
- Little old ladies seem to write the nicest posts. But more then likely they was written by a drunken old man
- If youre going to kill someone with your car, it best if you’re a drunken cop
- Newsday should know that when people see ***** in the post, people get the idea

On a lighter note, I'd like to point out that the News Channel 12 truck is still sitting outside of the school as I type this when there's been nothing except "they're on lockdown" to broadcast since the incident began. Go figure.
At least Newsday reports and gets the hell out of the way.

It was so boring doing nothing in the large gym. I sort of feel sorry for thouse who didn't have lunch yet...(I go to Mepham)

End of 4th: No student can leave the campus
Between 5th & 6th: Go to a specific room depending on which of the three floors you were on.
[During this time, many students, including me was very confused]
Later (Sometime before the start of 6th or after the 6th period bell): We had to go to the Large gym or the autorium, depending on what room number you were in.[Start of the Lockdown]
Middle of 7th-9th: Parents would come to school and the kids had to give the teacher his/her phone with that parent on the onther end & then the teacher would walk you out. We were also getting very reckless being stuck in there.[But this was mostly 8th and 9th]
9th: Finally the 2:15pm bell rang letting us rush like there was no tomorrow to run to your locker and get out of the school with in a certain amount of time.
I'm really sorry about how long this is...

When I finally got out around 2:15pm all I can remember seeing as I passed in with a friend who gave me a lift, was a camera and a boy with one of thouse neck Id's on him and that it...

Wow we never had lockdowns when I went there. But that was in the 80's. Time has changed. This student if found, should be suspended and perform community service if the police were involved.

Bad info about the time we got out it might have been around 1pm. I'm not really sure since I really wasn't paying attention.

I said it might have been around 1pm I wasn't really paying attention to the time... I was texting a friend who was in the other area...[If only I left my 5th period class earlier and got my stuff I could have been about off the grounds before the lockdown...]
I just looked it up @ my last few texts I got/sent when I was telling my friend to run it was around 1:30pm - 1:35pm

As a parent of a student that goes to that school is was quite disturbing to receive the phone message at work this morning.When my stepson got out at 1:30 both his girlfriend and himself were very stressed and anxious to get out of there.Whoever made this threat is a very disturbed human being.There is nothing funny at all about making threats to a High School full of faculty and students.Just plain stupid whoever did this.I am still uncertain on what this threat was.I have heard at least 3 different versions.My stepson was'nt sure on any of it.He just wanted to get out of the school....sorry if this is too long.

I ran to my locker and fled like hell.
I never saw any camera people.
Then again, I try avoiding News 12 because they're insane little stalkers.

According to Didden, we received an anonymous phone call to the school, with a threat, as well as a mysterious package.
Rockville Centre was also on lockdown today, and I believe Wantagh High School received a threat yesterday. So clearly this is another bunch of stupid kids.
Good news? It's a felony, and if they find fingerprints on the package or can trace the phone number, any and all students linked to the incident will be in a lottttt of trouble.

This school had one helluva wrestling team back in the 1950's and early 1960's--virtually unbeatable. Anyone know if they still have a good program there?
