hot shots is a hole in the wall and a poor excuse for a martini bar food is horrible, drinks are over priced and the staff is a bunch of overweight women who think they are attractive wearing tight clothes allowing their jelly roles to hang out, doesn't suprise me something of this nature would happen in a establishment like that, in my opinion the place needs to be shut down

I think this is one of the rare instances where a shooting has helped business.

This is the first bar in Bellingham that is giving country a chance and letting people be who they want to be. We don't have to hide anything there because the ones who have a good time, like the waitresses and bartenders, love who they are and don't have to hide anything.
Maybe all you fucking city folk should just stay the hell out of there and quick trashin on people who are really country at heart. Just because you don't have the will power to be who you really are, just because everyone covers up with make-up and expensive clothes, doesn't mean the whole world will follow.
We like who we are, we like to have a good time, and the only time something happens is when a city punk starts it cause they don't understand!!!!!!!
So shut the fuck up about a place you don't understand!!!!

Officially, it's the city filth that create problems there. I've never come across any country folk getting into it. So stay the hell out of places you aren't welcome! If you hear country music and you're city, steer clear cause we'll f*ck your ass up!
Peace out!

SO CITY MOUSE, YOU THINK YOU OWN IT ALL HUH.
WELL THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT COUNTRY PEOPLE COULD TEACH YOU.
We are here to have a good time just like anyone else. If you 'CITY MICE' don't like country, then why come into the one place that we have a good time and try to start crap or ruin it for all of us??? STUPID IS WHAT THAT IS CALLED!!!!!!!
The 'Country' bar is not the problem, it is people like you that think you own every place within city limits!!!!!!!!

No. I only own the things that I've paid for.

I live in the city, and like some other city folks, I like country music a lot. I like having a good time as much as anyone else, and I think it's awesome that there's finally a venue for country music in Bellingham. I just don't think it makes sense to complain that "city" people are coming to a "country" bar when it's been put IN THE CITY.

That's like complaining that ants are eating your sandwich when you picnic next to an anthill.

Uh huh,... city vs. country | black vs. white | tall vs. short | green vs. blue | south vs. north | fat vs. thin | long hair vs. short hair | suv vs. car | straight vs. gay | smoker vs. non ...

I think I'm finally starting to understand the meaning of "Cool" ... as in, when a person is "Cool". Most people think they are granted this at birth or somewhere along the way. Well as a fairly cool person myself (self approved), lately I've had to reassess my coolness. Nothing related to the incident, just self introspection.

I think being "Cool" might consist of anything that a person has passion for but there is another component that is seemingly more tuned to the actual meaning.

Imagine if WE could stop hating and judging people ... stop creating the walls we build against others for the slightest difference from ourselves.

Now that would be Cool!

last time i was in there was NASTY - not country- me and the boys came down to drink beer and hit on girls and instead ended up listening to mtx top 20 and dodging these guys in their late twenties wearing cheap ass suits and LA hats. I guess if it was better placed i would go back if there wasn't cover charges.

you are all a bunch of losers who think you are defined by the labels you place on yourselves.
Country/City your all fucking morons.
just because your white trash doesn't mean your "country."
Real "country folk" would never even step into a place with a porn name like "Hot Shots" only gangster wannabes and crack ho wannabes,
maybe what you meant to say was "Cuntry"

I am reading these posts and its just so sad how judgemental people are. I dont think its atractive when any woman wears obscenly tight clothing, but if they want to.... good for them. There are all sorts of people in this world and prejiduces of race, sex, religion obesity ect are the root of many problems this WORLD has. People if you dont like what you see look the other way.. more importantly why do you care?? The people you dont like seeing at hot shotz are people too.... MAD MAN those women you see with the jelly rolls hanging out as you so politely put it are someones daughter maybes someones mother. Would you like someone talking about you mother or sister that way? I dont think so. And everyone.... if you fill your life with judgement and hate you will have a very unhappy life. Embrace the world around you if everyone was beautiful or your ideal of beautiful, the world would be a boring place.

There is this BS culture in B'ham that pretends no one should "judge" anyone elses behaviour. That's stupid. Judgement is something people with a brain exercise all the time, because without judgement, you just follow the crowd like lemmings right off the cliff.

Wow.. I can't believe everyone. "who are U to judge" in my opinion is the only one who has said anything real on this blog. Themedialies you must have pretty low self asteam walking around judging people all the time. Do you look at others and wonder what they are thinking of you? Did you know that if you do that it is because you yourself judge people. It is not right to pass judgement, it is also not right to have this kind of stuff happening in our city. I have been to hot shots a few times, each time I saw things that I didn't like. Dirty bathrooms, bad music, etc. What i did was choose to not go anymore. So instead of judging the people that work there and go there make the decision on yoru own to not go. If we all do that then the place will eventually get cleaned up or go out of business. No need for judging or saying mean hurtful things to other people. Don't you find it kind of usless to sit on here an write bad things? If you don't like the place then why are you wasting your time writing stuff here? Mad Man I sure hope you read this and realize there are better things you could be doing with your time.

Well as I read this , as usual there are mixed feelings. Imagine that. People entitled to their own opinions. All I know they have one waitress that is a little older fairly new. brunette, looking for attention from younger guys. Shes married and doesnt care. so If you have no morals she is the one for you. go for it. Hot green eyes. dresses nice. but behind the smile is a narcisist. (SP)

Sounds like the competition is jealous that you guys have such a rocking bar and club show. I was there tonight and I thought the place rocked for a small town club that is just getting started. The bands were cutting edge grope type expression bands, and the service was the best. We had sirloin burgers with the best fries along with some of the best specialty food made by the chief. Just ask he will make you anything.
Afterwards the chief came to our table and introduced himself to us and ask how everything was. We were impressed and on top of that we had a really good time. The music was a mix of local bands consisting of Rap, head banging, and death rock heart stopping shit I can tell you that. Like I said real cutting edge shit. We had such a good time that we intend on going again real soon, perhaps this weekend and for New Years.
Thanks Hot Shots for showing us a real prime time tonight. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants live music, good food and excellent service.
