I thought Ooteghem was a great motivational speaker. Any time there is money involved one must be discerning. Grants/forgivable loans offer "some" help with a specific goal but always with conditions and if it is available, it will present itself in your quest. There is help out there if you are willing to do the footwork, without NGC. As for all the "gunslingers" above, take ownership for your action as I did not see anyone hog-tied or forced to spend money.

Hi - just so you know, NON-PROFT status applies only to churches, firehouses, police, animal shelters, and the like. NGC does NOT qualify for non-profit status. What NGC is trying to make you do is GIVE THEM MONEY. That's it - you'll be paying out the wazzooo if you get into it.

I just saw an infomercial for a conference in Louisville KY area. It sounded good but before I do anything these days I check Google. I am glad I did. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Wow, your a moron first of all.....the phone number and address are right on the back and most of the speakers say it in the first few minutes...and there are many happy clients of this company.....oh and your a moron!

You shouldn't be casting stones at others when you are illiterate. Or perhaps English is not your first language. In either case, let me help you.

your = possessive of you.
you're = the contraction for "you are".

As in, "When you misspell your insults, you're ignorant."

And let's not have all the lazy slackers chime in with their lame excuses like, "you know what we mean" or "I don't have time to do it right" or "it was a typo" or "You should lighten up" as in _I_ should ignore the ignorant.

No, just learn the language and use it like you've graduated from the third grade before you start flaming people you disagree with your opinion.

I attended the conference in Louisville! Thank GOD I was too broke to pay the registration fee or they would have had me as well and I would now be in the looney bin.

hmmm. im glad i diddnt give them any money tonight, i still feel the stuff is out there available but im gonna look it up on my own and do it on my own. I am smart enough why would i pay someone 1000 buckz to do something that i can do myself. All it takes is a few phone calls and some thinking to get rolling. if you have been scammed dont fall down, grants are everyware school grants business grants home grants ...it just takes time. Give yourself a couple hours here and there do do your homework and make some drives and you can do it. Thats the problem now of days, everyone is looking for someone to tell them the way to go and how to do it, there isnt anyone who can tell you or show you better then yourself. And when it is all said and done you will be twice as good as those other guys cause you did it yourself....

I think that it can work, but every body that applys is not going to get a grant, its just like playing the slots, you have one in a thousand chance of getting the help you need to be successful.

I tried to call their 1-800 # on the ticket, an old one from the fist meeting I had attended in October. I got suspicious when it kept beeping "busy."

I get the gut feeling that these people are full of it, and that the only way to succeed at this business of getting grants for property is talk to someone who has done this, unrelated to NGC. I will look around, see what I find, and report back to you all.
If I were one of you who were ripped off, I would call the Federal Trade Comission and The Department of Consumer Affairs.

I was about to go to the conference on Saturday
December 5 2009 but decided to do a little research first. Any company that tells you they can help you but file chapter 11 and after reading all the negative responces from people spending their hard earned money on over priced material
i will not attend.
People do yourselves a big favor do it on your one.
Remember if it sounds to good to be true IT IS!
If you read all these e-mails they speak for themselves.

I knew within the first 10 minutes what a scam this was. G. William Kazimer (if that is his real name) sounded just like one of the hard sell guys who do time share seminars. My friend and I walked out right after a guy yelled "Bull****") when G. pulled the $1295 pricetag for becoming a "member". My advice--DON'T BE STUPID no matter how desperate your situation. There is always FREE help. And there are always assholes to take money from good people having a hard time.

Well. I signed up several years ago and I paid $1000 and spent several days supposedly getting educated. I had lots of questions and their customer service or coaches never returned my calls. I then moved to another state and totally forgot about the program. Several years later after watching their convincing infomercial I decided to wipe the dust off their package and they reinstated my membership for $400 and sent me a new set of books geared for my state. I then had the same issue with customer service.... basically no service. A couple of months went by and I saw another infomercial and now I really got interested so I called customer service and they gave me a pass for the conference and I thought they did the right thing. Well after the first day I saw the dog and pony show immediately so I went over to talk to one of their reps to discuss my disappointment in their customer service and he talked me into a $2995 and guaranteed me that I will receive customer service since I was gonna be a platinum member. Now, shmuck me fell for it and forked over the money. I started to work on the program and had lots of questions again and this time I didn’t let go. I finally received a tiny box with a CD in it which had to be activated… well, the activation code didn’t work and I spent days trying to talk to someone and that never happened. Finally someone called me back and gave me a number to activate the CD. While I was on the phone with the 3rd party she mentioned to me that this service will be charged to card at a rate of $29.99 and what this service does is gets you foreclosure leads. I decided not to continue with the activation since I’ve been buying foreclosures for almost 7 years and I subscribe to a fabulous service that notifies me of a NOD filings within 15 minutes of filing. I tried to get a hold of customer service again and I did receive a return phones call stating that a coach will call me within 7 days and he cannot pinpoint a time because the staff is moving from New York to Florida. This didn’t sit right with me so I called sales and asked for a refund and I was informed that since I opened the package I’m not entitled to a refund. I tried charging back the charge and my bank didn’t cooperate with me since I used a bankcard.

The biggest kicker… that as a for profit business you get shit for a grant. It’s that simple, you need to be a 501c3 not-for-profit. I since signed up with another company and its working great so far.

How can we stop these crooks? I think we all need to write to our Attorney General and block them from coming into our states and blast them on the internet and whenever they do show up in your state, sit in the lobby with a poster about the scammers and hand out fliers.

These people are nothing but thieves. I got ripped off for $6,000. First I signed up for the grants. that cost $1,000. With that they gave me a free three day workshop so they could wiesel more money out of me. When i called to get a mentor and start using the program I was told to wait until after i went to the workshop which was ten days later.
when you call you might get anyone. I was led tyo beleive that we would have the same mentor each time you called. That was a lie. After less then a week into calling i started getting a real bad feeling about them. I found more and more lies. Now I am trying to get my money back and expose them for what they are. When I think about them I realize why you read in the paper about someone walking into a business and just start shooting everyone in sight. If you've dealt with national grants you know they are probably on someone's list.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Aquarius

If you're still happily munching chocolates and all sorts of other goodies, you'll have to take yourself in hand at some point during the coming fortnight. Maybe you'll have to compensate for all the festive over-eating by taking more exercise or cutting back on the calories, or perhaps you'll decide that you can't delay giving up smoking any longer. As Mercury turns in your twelfth house of secrets, messages you receive at this time may be very subtle or contain hidden meanings meant only for your understanding.
