I hope nobody missed the "Bike Parade" tonight! If you blinked you sure did miss it. Another 1st for BTown. There must have been maybe 50 bikes if that many. They were even in town before 7:00 P.M. We no more got set down and they were gone!!

What's the point of blocking off downntown before 4:00 rush hour so we could get in to the bank. I wanted to stop and see about Even Stevens tickets but I couldn't get down Columbus to get parked. Does anyone know if the show is sold out?

I don't know why they continue to have this event right in the middle of town....especially considering the mess around the court house this year. It doesn't make sense.

The streets were blocked off at 9 AM when I tried to get to a downtown business.....I guess to give the vendors time to set up? If I were a business owner in that area, I would definitely not want traffic blocked to my store. Not even for one day.

The whole event is terrible. The booths, the parade. They either need to revisit their approach or cancel it all together. I don't know how ANY money was made. We went up for about a half hour (about 7:10) and had missed the parade...I didn't even know there was going to be a parade this year, it didn't say that anywhere I saw. And of the 100 people that were up there, 75 of them were white trash.

Why can Logan County (more notably Bellefontaine) not seem to put on a quality event of ANY kind? Our fair is one of the worst fairs in the state, our infamous "festival" is embarrassing...

Quality community events pump money back into the community. If we're going to have a "Party at the Peak" then we need to have a freaking "Party at the Peak." Put it up at Campbell hill, bring in some concerts (not a DJ bumping Justin Beiber), bring in some rides for the kids, some games, a beer garden for adults...center it around the 4th of July and shoot fireworks off from the highest point in Ohio after the concerts...make it an all day event on a WEEKEND. Spend some money to make some money. You can mix all of that in with the crappy vendors you have now and more people will come. ADVERTISE it, not just on the web and in the Examiner...put it out in Union, Shelby, Hardin and Champaign Counties...sell tickets in advance for the concerts with a corporate sponsor and smaller sponsors who cover half of the cost in exchange for advertising...

It's not rocket science on how to put on a good event that people will actually enjoy.

Keep your motorcycle parade, but make it a poker run too...with aforementioned events, the parade will grow in size again. Go Sturgis style or something...just don't put out the same crappy event next year.

Just my two cents.

Ridiculous is Bellefontaine and Urbana Fire Departments putting their ladder trucks out of service so a few bikers can ride their bikes under a flag.

All good ideas, why don't uou put this in a letter and send to Benedetti and the chamber of commerce, it might inspire them.

It definitely needs leadership and planning. Organizations need to be notified well in advance. DeGraff festival has more activities than Bellefontaine. I just saw a tiny little notice about two days before the event. I felt if that was all the interest it couldn't be much and I was right.
Planning for next year should begin right now. Why wait? Ho hummmm!!!

I counted the bikes there were 40 of them never seen anything so bad in my life this thing is DEAD look for something else to waste your money on Benedetti I walk around for about 5 minutes then spent another 30 seconds watching the bikes I agree taking 2 ladder trucks out of service for that Chief you need to get your sh-- together

Events for money making purposes should only be done for 2-3 years maximum. After that the curiosity wears off and people are done. The exception here would be the Relay for Life which is constantly pulling in new people and not the same old thing. The Cruise In downtown is going to be falling off sooner or later too. What will the Holland Theater do then?

When we have some sense and legalize marijuana, we could have some sort of stonerfest downtown and the someone might get hungry and buy some food off of those pathetic vendors.

Maybe someone else should plan it because whoever doing the planning now don't have a clue whats going on. bad dj and bad vendors . hey Paul and the rest of the chamber of commerce ,last year was bad but this year was the worst ever. The raising the flag was good ,Bellefontaine and Urbana fire depts. did a super job.
