Gosh this store is going down hill fast since the new owners took it over. It stinks, theres no inventory on the shelves and the fresh produce looks old.And everytime i go down, the new owners are outside standing or talking on their cellphones.
Taking my business elsewhere!! |

Since when has the produce NOT looked old? I heard the stock is down because of some fault of a previous employee. However, there has been plenty of time for re-stocking now. |

I think the new owners are on a learning curve here. Since the previous owner has some health issues (and we wish him well), there will be some bumpy spots in the transition. However, I wish the new guys good luck. Belle Center needs this store to prosper. If not, then we will be going to Kenton or Bellefontaine for gas. I certainly hope they succeed. Say Hi to them when you go in the store. They won't bite.

They was just turned into the health dept. Thursday. While i was in there talking to a friend of mine,an older man brought in a package of meat he had just bought earlier and it expired in JULY!
They acted like they didn't care and called a young lady over to refund his money because they didn't know how to. He called the health dept. No way to run a store! |

lol... there hasnt been fresh meat in there for over a week... if someone bought a package of meat recently then he bought it out of the little freezer thing that sits back by the dog food... almost everyone knows its old...its all brown... I always assummed they had it there so you could buy it for your dogs...
the new owners dont have credit with the vendors.. they have to pay up front for everything that they get... sure Im finding it very discouraging to not be able to buy all the things I used to ... but if they close we are kinda screwed... I dont want to loose the gas station or have to run all the way to Bellefontaine or Kenton if I run out of milk in the middle of making supper.. they have to earn money to stock the shelves.. so if we want it to stay and prosper we are going to have to give them our business.. and from what I was told you have to have a licensed butcher or something to handle the meat.. and the new owners dont have one... the former owner did it for a while after he sold but not anymore.. |

If I lived in Belle Center I would be hoping this store stays open, Let me tell you, I live in a small town with no grocery store and it is hell!! We run out of milk we have to either run to the little pizza shop and spend upwards of $4 for a gallon of milk or drive 15 miles to a walmart. Believe me you are lucky to have that store and gas station, oh yeah we have no gas station here either, it went out years ago, so if you need gas you gotta go 15 minutes for that to. So give the news owners a chance to make it work and do some business there so they can start getting better stuff or you will end up like my town with nothing!

it is getting better.. they have all 3 grades of gas .... and theres meat in the case.... I hope things are picking up.. but dont forget.. if you need non grocery or non gas items go to the Red Mill.. those are some good hometown people.. both places need to prosper ....
