That's funny, because when I was in school, "Prof" was my nickname.
And I am an atheist, so no church going for me. Besides, the only church in my hometown is about to close due to financial difficulties.

I am not an expert on American laws. I am merely stating a fact. Perhaps you have heard about Hurricane Carter's. I don't have the statistics, but surely he isn't the only one having been falsely accused, convicted and incarcerated. In Canada, David Milgard did 23 years for being wrongly convicted of murder. He was set free through DNA evidence and he was awarded millions of dollars in damages.

That is also why I am against the death penalty, because of human errors that can inevitably happen. Can you imagine being innocent and then being put on the chair or getting strapped to get injected with poison?

Authorities say Darryl Layne Norris, who is charged with murder, had been shedding pounds since checking into the Waller County Jail in April. They say he slipped out through an air conditioner vent less than a foot wide.

The jail noticed the 6-foot, 160-pound man was missing after performing a routine head count.

The 26-year-old and another man are charged with murder in connection with an April convenience store robbery. Police aren't sure if Norris is armed, but they say he is dangerous.

Authorities say "He could be anywhere right now."

Maybe he's figuring out the more time he spends in jail, the more money he'll get if he ever wins his case ; the judge could award him a specific amount of money for each day passed in prison.
