Anyone know what happened to Seven D Saddlery?

i heard some people broke into his shop and he shot and killed one of them and the other one was injured of something

does anyone have an opinion about the Seven D Saddles? Good or bad? Would appreciate any knowledgable info.

I bought a Wade Tree Seven D a couple of years ago from a friend. Saddle is well made. I use it on my 16.2 Quarter Horse and fits very well. Leather is high quality and hardware is good quality steel and not the stamped crap on cheap saddles. Hope this helps. |

Thanks for the input. I tried one of these saddles (a new one)on a young horse and it seemed to fit him well. I agree the hardware and leather seem to be quality products. However, this saddle had a fiberglass "flex" tree and the lining under the saddle (sheepskin) was synthetic and shedding. If it had a wood/rawhide wrapped tree, I think it would have been a winner for me. My concern was as the colt matures, the tree may not accomodate him as well as a wooden tree, any thoughts?

I had a Seven D reining saddle. I loved it, excelent quality. By far my favorite saddle I've ever owned. Mine wasn't a flex tree but I started out with it on my 2 yr old quarter horse. She grew/filled out a lot but my saddle always fit her great. I got my saddle about 5-6 years ago so I'm not sure how they have changed. I would certainly consider owning another one though.
