Let me get this right, they cannot agree on anything so nothing gained other then they increased their pay.

I would like to ask each and every one of them to tell us where they found $250,000 plus to pay themselves?

We need to vote all of them OUT of office next time the come up for re-election.

Is this special session called simply to increase their pay, if so Governor Richardson taught them well.

Rip off that state then go home.

The per diem they get is so small, it probably doesn't cover their actual expenses of staying in Santa Fe. If they were really following $Bill's example, they'd be getting a $thousand a day, and hire $200,000/year exempt assistants.

If Governor Moonbeam Hollywood had stayed home & taken care of business that he was paid to do rather than running for president, jetting off to Rome, visiting Cuba, China & who knows where else, maybe the state would not be in the financial mess it's in. The guy was so exhausted after all his extracurricular activity he had to add insult to injury & take a vacation! The one who plays while we pay is Sidewinder Richardson who speaks with forked tongue!

As far as I'm concerned, they should be staying in barracks and riding the FailRunner. You KNOW they all have special deals worked out with the local hotels and eateries. And of course, those who live in SF have it made! Doesn't cost them a cent.

Its all about priorities. So far this is the only thing they have agreed upon and passed - their per diem for the session. With the ignorance that emanates from there its no wonder we don't allow them any manner of real pay. Sub par work deserves sub par compensation.

Be assured that whatever shakes out in the end will be something that sticks it to the taxpayers. And next years probable tax increases will be real winners too!

Well let's see here, they lined their pockets with our tax money, they had who knows what behind those closed doors, topless dancers, drinks, an orgy,(they screwed the taxpayer) and probably figured out how to all take a vacation based on the long hours of partying behind those closed doors.

In other words NOTHING accomplished.

Part of their charter is to assemble a budget. If they can't, then they aren't doing their jobs. I don't get a free pass if I have to make difficult decisions and/or tick someone off; it's part of the job and the reason they get paid.

Freeze their pay, tell them to work until they have a solution and let's see how fast things get cleared up.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Aries

The prospect of travel really appeals to you today, especially if you don't have any holidays booked for the foreseeable future. So be careful if you're out shopping and you happen to walk past a travel agent's, because almost before you know it you could be sitting in there waving your credit card around and consulting your diary for the best day to take off for the wide blue yonder.
