This is really sad. Are people really this desperate to do this to other people, especially to our "grandparents"? What ever happened to respecting our elders or the golden rule?

It is so bad that you can't even go to the store without becoming a target for the worst of the worst. I hope this thing that beat this man gets caught. She needs to go to jail, straight to jail. It saddens me to think sick people target our elderly or anyone for that matter. How would this sick person like it, if this was her family member? She has to be very sick!!!!!!!!!!

How awful- it is really sad how much the elderly are targeted and disrespected these days. I have so much compassion for the elderly that this broke my heart to read.

Until the public starts fighting back, this sort of crime will continue to happen. If this had been me, they would have gotten as far as attempting to open my door, then they would have been face to face with Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson, end of story.

Real tuff people to pick out the elderly....next thing you know they will be going after women with young children.
Where's the video camera feed on this? There's always a way to find out who it was.

Did they have cameras in the parking lot? Most places do anymore. They should be punished to the max....totally uncalled for.

The video feed won't matter if the our KCPD wont take the time to investigate. Case in point: just a few weeks before young women a block away my Waldo house started getting brutally raped by a serial attacker at large, my debit card and PIN were stolen from my mail box. The thief got into my mailbox twice within 72 hours and activated the card at a Waldo gas station. He/She withdrew just over $ 200.00. My bank gave time and location as well as the date the PIN was sent. The police never investigated at all even though federal charges were involved and video evidence was at hand. Although I cannot say whether or not this was the rapist, he is also a thief and is hunting in my backyard. I sincerely hope that two women did not have to be repeatedly, brutally raped all night because the KCPD does not like to investigate crime.

We can only hope this woman picks on an armed citizen next time. I'd like to see the story where she gets plugged by the victim.

You have to be one kind of low piece of trash to beat up a senior citizen and rob him. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior. Of course, once she is caught, our resident headline hungry 'community activist' will be at the courthouse making excuses for her and the TV news crews will be dumb enough to give him air time.

Where is Jesse Jackson? He is always defending the black victims - how about now when a black woman did this? What would he say?

This is too small potatoes for Jesse, there is no one to shake down for money. But, I would expect Alonzo Washington to try to use this for a PR opportunity.

If a white person beat the hell out of an elderly colored person then you can bet that Jesse and Al would be in K.C. whining and crying as I type this.
