The fact of the matter is, in many countries, where two or more cultures are shoved together, a hybrid language is often developed.
Ebonics is a legitimate language and yes, it's only part English.
Pigeon English is spoken in many places there English and the language of the other people are mixed.
But, English is not the only language this happens to.
French in France is different from French in Quebec, which is different from French in Louisiana, etc.
English in the US is different from English in the UK, which is different from English in Australia.
Language is complicated and there are many people in the US that hold the Black dialect dear.
It's not really a bad thing.
However, it can be a divider. No doubt about it.

If chinese kids in Japan can learn to speak proper english then the blackies should have to speak it too! They are living in America for God's sake. Learn to talk correctly!

While I haven't "heard" you speak, there are many areas of the country that would say YOU don't speak English, either.

Do you sound like the actors in a movie? Or the people on TV? Do you always use good grammar?

People learn from what's around them and the Black dialect is more uniform than the accent you learned at home and in school and while it isn't 'taught' in school, either, you learned it there anyway.
