I keep hearing rumors that the Pilgrim's Pride plant is reopening around the first of next year. Have you guys heard anything about the reopening ?

I think I remember something in the Van Buren County Democrat about another company looking at purchasing it. I don't recall all the details and I may be wrong. Try the paper and see if they know. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the response VBC Resident. Quite a few of us that were laid off from the plant will soon be exhausting our unemployment insurance. A few lucky ones have found local jobs but a lot of us are still looking. I keep hearing the plant will be remodeled for " further beef processing " around the first of next year but who knows. Looks like we may have to dive to the Conway or Cabot area to find employment.
