Beckley...

Is there nothing better to do than party 24/7?
It seems that's all anyone does anymore.
But what else is there do in Beckley? Just would like a change of scenery I suppose.

Get a job...I work 40+ hours a week, take care of a child and my fiance'...work around the house...I am lucky if there is anytime left to breathe...I'm not saying you should have kids definitely not!...but if you are looking to fill your day try being productive. I thank goodness for Saturday and Sunday to regain some time for relaxing...but then again last weekend I worked Saturday and then shampooed carpets all day Sunday. So there is really never anytime to rest.:-D

I agree that there isn't anything exciting to do here. I hate the party seen. I go out once in a while and that is enough. I don't see how my friends do it every weekend.

Work does take up most of the time. If you don't work maybe volunteer and help someone else:) Visit a nursing home. I did clinicals at one and seen how much they need and enjoy peoples company.

I go to the gym nearly everyday and sometimes 2x a day. It is better than sitting in front of the tube or on my butt accomplishing nothing.
Shopping isn't too good here so sometimes I go to Charleston. It's not that far but it is a little change.
I wish I liked to ski. I might try snowtubing this year even though I hate the cold.
Maybe try going to the movies.

And a REAL Beckley girl.....I do all except the kid thing right now plus other stuff but you need to breathe and take time out for you. I promise it will make you feel better:) It might sound selfish but when I put me first (well God is first) then I am happier which makes everyone else happier too. Beckley girl.....Just Breathe:)

Sorry I told you to do that...maybe you shouldn't, because they are addictive. If only you take a certain amount of money with you, that way, you won't broke when you leave. They are very fun. Sometimes you can win big, but sometimes you can lose big. I won $750 about a month ago.

Yeah your not kidding, I spent around 20grand one month doing nothing but gambling... I finally stopped going when I got that months bank statement lol
