H1N1 shot

I finally was able to receive my H1N1 shot yesterday at work. I just wanted to let everyone who was concerned about this shot know I am alive and well...not feeling bad at all.:-D Cheers!

My daughter got the nasal mist and her nose ran almost 24 hrs. Then on the 3rd day afterward, she had flu symptoms for about 24 hrs. Then was ok. Guess it affects everyone differently.

Yeah the mist is a live virus versus the shot which is a deadened version. My seasonal flu shot earlier this year made me feel weak for a day.

A bear, a lion and a pig meet.

Bear says: "if I roar in the forest, the entire forest is shivering with fear."

Lion says: "if I roar in the jungle, the entire jungle is afraid of me."

Pig says: "big deal.... I only have to cough, and the entire planet panics."

Prevention is key. I would much rather have the shot and not need it.(Whether they catch the correct strain or not is a different story.)Ignorance my friend, ignorance. Who wants to be ill with the flu?

Nah, ignorance is being a live gunneai pig for the gov.. The CDC is watching the news to see what side effects ppl are having because they have no idea what the long-term effects are gonna be!!! And for pregnant women the CDC has no idea how it could effect an unborn baby. Remember in the 70's when they released those shots and sid that it was safe, blah, blah, blah and it messed all those ppl up for life? I'll take my chances. The H1N1 shot is already giving ppl Ishemic strokes. It ages all of the blood vessels by decades because what it does is makes your body release loads of white blood cells into the blood stream and they clog the smallest arteries and causes them to rupture. This could shorten ones life span or end your life. I've come not to believe anything that the United States gov. has to say. I find it very odd that when ppl are getting ready to rise that all of a sudden a new virus hits and makes the country panic. They're probably putting it in the food and everywhere else. Better read about the scientist in Russia that said that's where it was manufactured by the vaccine company and they had an accident and now everyone that lived near the factory has H1N1. That scientist was executed on the way to speak at UCLA last week and tell the American ppl the truth.

I for one did not and will not get the H1N1 vaccination along with anything else they hand out. Our bodies have a better chance of fighting what comes at it. I reported this before and will again. 36,000 people die of the regular flu a year vs only 1,000 have died of swine flu in a year.
Remember the Phen Phen diet pill approved by FDA(government regulated) killed many...while a multi vitamin is not approved by FDA..not killed 1.

Just use your judgement. The government does not know more than you. They are money driven. The life of you, your family, your kids, friends mean NOTHING to them. It means money for them and I am sure beyond that for you as it does me.

Also the nose vaccine is a live virus and the ones who get this can spread the virus t others. If they breathe any of it out, sneeze, wipe their nose and spread to surfaces...it is a live virus to others.

The swine flu does affect the lungs more as pneumonia would do. Normal healthly people usually have no problem fighting it off just like the regular flu.

Don't let the media freak you out. I have seen the cases and you are not in danger like people are siking it out to be.

I worked the for federal Gov. for years and I don't believe everything they say...I work in a hospital. I see both sides of everything. I STILL get the shots. I've had more shots than I can count in the military and I plan on getting them from now on. Your right about the seasonal flu. I do not deny that. Imagine how bad you would feel though if you got the flu and gave it to someone you love (I have 3 a year old) and DIDN'T have the shot. I want to do everything I can to TRY and prevent the flu. That's all you can do. Prevention I said...doing everything you can to TRY and prevent it. That is all. :-D As for side effects...there is always side effects to everything. The air you breathe, food you eat, everything causes cancer blah blah blah...there is always something...I pick my battles.

The seasonal flu is worse. The whole point of the post is to say that the shot is not bad as some ppl think. I have had both of the flu shots. I get vaccinated every year. It was always manditory in the military so its easy to carry on doing it.

Sometime in the future you may come down with a life-changing illness from getting these shots just like the ppl in the 70's did! The CDC admitted that they have no idea what the long term side effects are going to be so they watch the news to keep track of it! The CDC does not care about the American ppl. They look at us like we are rats. Do you think that they or their children get the shots? Hell no. I can assure you that they don't or they would be on TV doing it to ease ppl's mind. Anyone that puts any trust or faith in the American government has to be as naive and ignorant as they come. Better educate yourselves on the truth about the U.S. gov.. It might just save your life.

That's because you're not pregnant, elderly, or a young child, I'm assuming, or you would be dead and not posting on Topix. H1N1 is killing ppl at record levels. Even healthy ppl with no underlying conditions are falling over dead, and all of this at the start of the flu season. You can try & make it seem like it is no worse than the seasonal flu all you want to, which is ignorant, but scientific data says otherwise.

I'm not that old...but I have done some research previously on illness associated with the 70's swine flu vaccine. All I could locate was a study that showed 500 people that had the Guillain-Barre Syndrome were also swine flu vaccinated.(That would equal one in every million) That to me is not a large enough number to create a panic. They later claimed a baterial contamination of the vaccine supposedly caused the GBS. There are consequences to most everything we do these days. Not taking the flu shot is the same as people not vaccinating their children because they're scared its causing Autism.(I personally think they give too many shots to kids too young and too soon but thats another issue) I have a child with Aspergers disorder and I don't blame the Government or the shots. I think its genetic and environmental myself.

falling over dead?really?right...and no im a healthy 21yr old who takes care of myself,i wasnt even told i had it until i was in the recovering days,it only had me knocked down for two days,ive had colds that made me feel worse.its not worse than the seasonal flu?lol many many of my family members are nurses,docters and a pediatrition,my 5,6 and 1 year old cousins even had it,and theyre perfectly fine also? the media makes things worse than it actually is.com pare numbers at the end of the year,then get back with me,guarentee the seasonal flu kills more.
