telephone book litterbugs

WTF? There are gads of telephone books in plastic bags thrown all over property in Raleigh Co. Can the police not stop this littering? What company did this? This garbage is all over the county now. It is a horrible nasty site

It is done every year. Just look to see who's name is on the book and call them to complain. Its most likely Yellow Book.

I, for one would love to dump my trash on Yellow Books property. Its sad the sheriff's department won't do a damn thing about this.

its no different than a newspaper, their delivering it for your use, you expect them to get out of the car at each individual house? If people wouldn't be lazy and just go pick there's up it wouldn't be a big deal.

They throw it on all property whether the home is occupied or vacant. I have picked up extra ones at homes where I knew nobody lived.

Grow Up. At least they have a job!! Was it a big deal to pick those up? It's just like a parade, afterwards, theres trash everywhere but within a few days you can't even tell there was a parade.When everyone else picks theres up you will have forgotten about this and your town will look the same. Well if you don't want to call them just go over to their distribution area and make a scene. Most likely the home office doesn't know that it i going on but then again maybe the local manager doesn't either.

Police departments have more important things to do than respond to idiotic complaints about extra telephone directories placed on property. Pick them up...call the company to complain - but grow up, stop acting and showing how childish you are by your juvenile comments. No wonder folks make fun of WV & threads are started about IQ's.

If it is like every year call all the hotels and ask to speak to them. Either they are their or not. They usually have a trailer out front and hire local people to do the route.

Not taking sides here, but I betcha the police would surely take time to pull me over if I threw a piece of paper out of my car window, let alone a whole phne book. If they devote time to arresting people for litter, then they should be called if someone is littering your lawn. No double standards. Litter is a problem. We have a certain upstanding Beckley person, who is very respected, that owns a piece of property near our home. The entrance to the property is littered with beer cans, trash etc. and he never cleans it up. We call the police about it because it ruins the property value in your neighborhood. I hate litter, and people wh litter should be arrested. So why is it stupid to all the police over litter.

Why are people saying it is litter?
They provide the books for people to use. They pay people to get them out to us and do not charge us anything.
Maybe they should start charging and make people pick them up at the post office since everyone wants to complain about getting something for free. I for one am glad to have one when I need to look up a phone number. It is not litter...it is for our use.
