Excellent article, and right on track! Why should we give our own a lesser education just to allow the children of law breakers to be in the schools? People who advocate for that cannot possibly care about their fellow Americans or even their own children. It defies all logic.

Plyler vs Doe ruling was based on the State being unable to substantiate merit (harm) to the State and local commununties bc at that time TOO FEW children of illegal aliens were attending Texas schools.

THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE.

Plyler vs Doe is ripe for being overturned as States can now substantiate merit (harm) with ease given the sheer numbers that now inundate our schools and are dragging down the educational quality that is mandated by Federal and State to provide our children.

It's time for any STATE to take action.

police from asking people about their immigration status.

I don't feel sorry for Portland ,they're a "Sanctuary" city!

3) Malicious: A malicious troll arrives with the intent of being blatantly abusive to the group and/or specific individuals within the group. One of their characteristics is that within a very short time of gaining access they begin targeting and harassing members using both low-end and high-end tactics. In some cases, the troll has a prior history with the group or someone within the group. In other scenarios, the troll is simply looking for a fresh meat market.

New Report Finds that Limited English Proficient
Student
Enrollment is Surging Nationwide
4.5 Million LEP Students May Cost Taxpayers in
Excess of $4 Billion a Year

Washington DC - A new study by the Federation for
American Immigration Reform (FAIR), Limited English
Proficiency Enrollment and Rapidly Rising Costs,
finds that between 1995 and 2005, the number of
children in our nation's public schools listed as
Limited English Proficient (LEP) increased by some
1.2 million. In 2005, approximately 4.5 million K-12
children in public schools around the country
required special educational programs to help them
master basic English, a 38 percent increase over a
decade earlier. The total bill to the taxpayers for
LEP programs likely exceeds $4 billion annually,
finds the report.

Continued large-scale immigration, particularly
illegal immigration, is the primary factor in the
increase in the LEP student population. FAIR
estimates that some 3.5 million children of illegal
aliens now attend K-12 schools around the country.
Most of the costs for educating LEP students fall on
state and local governments that are already
straining to provide educational resources to their
populations. Between 1995 and 2005, 11 states saw
their LEP student enrollment double, while eight
more saw enrollment triple.

"Education is by far the largest cost associated
with mass immigration generally, and illegal
immigration in particular," commented Dan Stein,
president of FAIR. "These mounting costs for basic
education and special LEP programs come at a time
when polls show that the public is increasingly
concerned about the overall quality of public
education in our country. While every politician in
America promises to improve public education,
government immigration policies continue to compound
the challenges faced by our schools."

The surge in LEP enrollment became a nationwide
phenomenon between 1995 and 2005, as virtually all
regions of the country experienced a rapid growth in
immigrant population. However, six states still
accounted for 69 percent of the LEP student
population in 2005, with California leading the way.
More than a quarter of California students were not
fluent in English in 2005.

Border Invasion

Thousands of individuals from foreign countries walk unchallenged across our
southern border every day. We don't know who they are, where they come from,
or their intentions. It is an invasion by definition, and our government
condones it.

This website presents current and undeniable documentation.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
