There is a nice little Chinese Restaurant called Merryland in front of Foodland on Eisenhower drive that has great food buffet style at super prices. There's a Tudors right next to it now also. And Hooters is opening next month :P

And too, you have Ruby Tuesdays, Bob Evans, Applebees and Texas Steakhouse and Outback all on Harper Road. We got a Chilis, a Logans Roadhouse and more. MacAdoos is another one. One thing about Beckley, we ain't hungry.

Try going out to eat in Beckley if you are a police officer or just eating dinner with a LEO. It is nearly impossible to go out to eat and not see someone who has been a temporary resident of SRJ. It is no fun having to leave just after you get seated then realize, "oh the waiter is john doe, the guy that was just arrested two weeks ago for theft and pills."

Fayetteville has a fantastic restaurant called Pies 'n Pints. Tons of pizza choices, not your run of the mill toppings, and great selection of wines and beers. Fun atmosphere too...a favorite of mine and my husbands when we want to get out of Beckley and away from the "chain" eateries.

The people from Merryland Express were caught digging in Food Lions dumpster for produce items!!! I'm disappointed too! I used to love to eat there.

Amen to that!! Thank the lord for the buffet there. I once ate some pizza that was covered in goat cheese (I thought it tasted like feet) but my husband loved it. Very nice atmosphere.:)

If you are in the Pipestem area, The Oak Supper Club is excellent. They are in an old farm house, the staff and food are great, and while you are eating you can watch the horses play in the field. They are on the road across from the turn off into Pipestem State Park.

Another place, which I am not sure if it is still open, that was excellent to eat, in the Summersville Area, The Country Roads Inn, they are/were in an old school house, the cuisine Italian. You have/had to make reservations because when you got there, your table was set up with assorted antipasto dishes and a carafe of red wine. They only have/had 5 to 6 entrees on the menu, all Italian, and the best desserts you have ever eaten. Like I said, someone told me they had closed down, I hope not, they are worth the drive.

Delightfully Yours is good for lunch. Devin has some really good food and desserts. Maxwells is now open and I think they've got excellent wings (had them the past 2 days).

I think the new Padrino's, located at the Beckley Plaza, is great! The place is small, but the service is great, the girls are the sweetest. The food is so good and they give you a portion big enough for 2 people. Also the bathroom are the cleanest ones around.

If you dont want a chain restaurant that you can have in any town, the Char and Pasquales are both excellent. As some have mentioned, heading to Fayetteville opens up some great options as well.
