I'm aware the job as Delaware Governor will be quite challenging. Our people need someone to step up to the plate besides career politicians. "My aim is high and I'm right on target,my sights are on the State House" My run for Governor ends on election day November 2008. My candidacy is assured for the Independent Candidate for Governor 08 whether I receive any funds or political backing from anyone. My participation in this election brings many positive things to the state of Delaware. A private citizen stepping up, community activism, community awareness, civic associations, neighborhood associations, Public cameras in crime ridden neighborhoods, constant watch on matters close to your communities. This election will inform, excite, question and sometimes anger the general public but will affect and communicate with more people than any election in history in the State of Delaware
__________ "I'd bring a lot of people back down to earth," he said. "I'd bring Delaware politics back down to earth. There's a 100 percent chance of that happening, |

I live in the route 7 and 40 section of Bear, DE ( behind Governors Square)
and I'm glad someone (like the Pizza Guy)is concerned about the high crime, and the apathetic behavoir towards it by some of the residents in this area. Please stop the theft and littering in this community. Some of it comes from renters who do not take pride in their community. There's also alot of illegal dumping of trash. |

As a candidate for Delaware Governor I would like to share my thoughts with you while attempting to convey my reasons for serving as a voice for the people. I believe families that are intent on giving their children the promise of a safe, secure and positive today; the hope to realize a better tomorrow and an appreciation of yesterday are a paramount fixture for the success of this state as we move into the future together. Parents and families that teach their children the values of discipline, hard work, and personal responsibility are becoming a lost treasure and we need to preserve those simple concepts before we lose them.
As a political activist for three decades I have agued for the rights of the people. I remain steadfast to those ideas and as an elected official the voice of the people will be heard. I have a vision for Delaware that is already taking shape. I believe that equal opportunity is a right, not a privilege, and it must be extended to all persons regardless of their background. Delawareans expect to be afforded the opportunity to chart their own course, chase a dream, or build a life and they expect to do this without the threat of government intrusion. Delawareans deserve the opportunity to pursue their goals, and, perhaps they’ll fail, but they deserve to try again. Government Reform Initiatives A 5 Point Plan that Opens State Government .. Remove provisions in current Election Law that allow Political Parties to charge a filing fee to run for office, Because of this deterrent nearly 50% of legislative seats go unopposed Regularly invite and remind all citizens to participate in the legislative process, thus fostering legislative accountability throughout the State Strengthen Delaware’s Campaign Finance Laws, many of the current laws are vague and there is a general lack of oversight and enforcement Hold regular meetings (Citizen Community meetings) throughout the state including the Greenwood, Bridgeville, Georgetown, Milton, Ellendale, Lincoln and Seaford areas. Onced elected, it will be incumbent upon me to know what you think, collectively, so we can act on things |

Health/Healthcare – Health Care Reform is an issue that affects all Delawareans. Eventually, every one of us will need health care services. As a major Health Care Reform Initiative I support Single Payer Health Care Legislation modeled after similar pieces of legislation that other states such as California and Connecticut are currently exploring. As a brief overview, the Single Payer plan would insure payment for all medically necessary services, medications, and long term care for all residents of the State of Delaware. Residents could choose any willing licensed health caregiver and decisions about health care would be made by licensed health caregivers and their patients without insurer pre-approval.
Education – The State’s role in our public schools should be to educate, not medicate. Our public schools should not recommend or facilitate the administration of psychotropic drugs to our children, ever. The state education system should be reorganized or redirected in such a way so as to enable all Delaware students to reach their maximum potential by accurately evaluating their individual strengths and abilities. Students can be grouped accordingly and taught at their own particular levels instead of being taught at a level where all students are lumped as one. The policies that suggest teaching a curriculum based on a blanket statewide exam can somehow offer full benefits to the diverse student population are out of touch Gambling – Revising the state’s gambling regulations to permit expansion would not only keep us ahead of neighboring and competing states, it would yield a wealth of new revenues for use in areas where we now have budgetary shortfalls. We can take advantage of these expanded gambling revenues instead of passing rising budgetary costs on to the taxpayers. |
