We all have memories of the place or places where we grew up, especially as we get older and look back.
I passed through Picher not too long ago when I was doing a loop tour surveying the ice damage in the state from last winter. Picher is little more than a ghost town now. Sad, very sad. Still, nothing stays the same.....ever. Some towns and cities grow and become bloated almost beyond recognition. Someone said,"Don't go back", and I am starting to understand why.
But hold those happy memories in your heart. After all, those are the things that are unchangeable.
