There is a reason that government is setup to keep church and state separate. I don't want my sheriff to run his office influenced by his church. A man that is that deeply rooted in the church that doesn't have a Law Training at all would run the office by emotion or by what he think God wants.
I don't know how old Mr. Dyal is. There are hard decisions that a Sheriff has to make at a moments notice. We can't wait for him to pray for the answer. And getting through law enforcement training in Forseyth is extremely hard and they only give you the basics. Many of them never make it through training. It take years of additional training and education. Usually it's a life long journey that many officers dedicate themselves too. Huge sacrifices that their families make.
Maybe he would be better suited to help in other ways. We really need someone with Law Enforcement & Administration Experience. It's a huge responsibility. I think that would be Johnson or Carter by what I have read so far.
