I know I have gotten good deals at goodwill, But where does all this free money go, I asked and they say to help disable people to find jobs and work. I haven't seen no disable person there working, There prices are high on some stuff. Just like hangers with about 10 in the bundle and they asking .99 this used and you can by new for that. Does goodwill do anything for the homeless, hungry, sick, old folks. and the one s that need help in Appling County. If goodwill has helped you I would like to know how.

Goodwil has only helped me by allowing me t find some fairly good deals. Goodwill does support people with disabilities. All disabilites aren't physical. Goodwill is a network of 184 independent, community-based organizations in the U.S., Canada, and 14 other countries.
It provides job training and employment services, job placement opportunities and post-employment support to many.
Goodwill endeavors to strengthen communities and families by training people to become independent, tax-paying members of society.
BTW: here can you purchase 10 hangers for a $1.00? I ahven't sen the type that you can get at Goodwill anyhwere that cheap.

Do you have a disability? If so, they will give you a job so that you can pay your own light bill. No, they won't just "pay" your bill for you. That's not what it's all about.
Don't really know about the hangers. You may be right. But as always, you have to shop around.

So Goodwill will give disability people jobs? So they saying it costs to give people a job. Well, my opinion is they pocketing the money, If I have something to give away I will take to Salvation Army or Goodnews thrift Store, Or helping hands. I think Goodwill needs to be investigated, I think somebody high up is getting very rich. If they give disable person a job,, It's not costing Goodwill nothing,I think Goodwill should have to post somwhere Who they help, Not saying names but like so and so was helped out by goodwill when their house burned or so and so was helped when they was down in hospital. I don't see the help goodwill is claiming'

What?! What do you mean "it's not costing Goodwill nothing" ? I don't understand your question. Nobody "high up" is getting rich. Where or what are you basing your information from?
Again, all disabilities are not obvious. I have a disability myself and have a very good job in a good profession but the regular person on the street might and probably does question my handicapped tag.

So You saying Goodwill sent you to school and got you a job. Well, You the first I heard of. I guess they have to help some here and there to make things look right. What I am writting here is just my opinion and what I think. If they send people to get educated that would help get them a decent paying job that's great. But you the first I ever heard of Goodwill helping in this manner.

This is how I think goodwill helps. They find you a job from the unemployment office, If you need child care they tell you how to fill out paper work to the federal gov. to get help. To make a long story short, the only thing they do is send you in the right direction to apply with goverment agencies for the help you needing. If I'm wrong please correct me. But as far as them helping for anything other than advise on where to go to get help I don't know. For ex. if you need food they will advise you to welfare dept.Just go to www.goodwill.org and read one of the sucess stories they have posted.

Either you're crazy and can't understand English and comprehend what you read or just like to cause trouble. Nowhere in my post did I say that Goodwill provided an education for me.I provided my own education thank you.I realize that you don't want answers.I was only trying to point out the good that Goodwill does. You only want to stir things and people up. I won't respond to your posts anymore troublemaker.I'm above your standards.

I think that the Goodwill in Baxley is filling a void for lots of people in the community, in all social economic levels. They are doing something good to be verified by the fact that the parking lot is always full, and a added bonus, the staff is always courteous and helpful. I donate items all during the year and I also find some good buys. So, I say keep up the good works, Goodwill you are a blessing to our communtity.

Mr. Billy Butler has a great Mission Store in Baxley....He and his lovely wife are there together most of the time...they will help anyone they can.
The Goodwill doesn't really HELP people....you can ask the pastor of The Covenant Church about the Goodwill... LOL
I shop the churches goodwills or the privately owned like the Helping Hands on S. Hwy 1.
The Big Oaks Church of God out on Lake Mayers Road has a very nice store there also.
Salvation army is much better than good will they actually help people more....Goodwill is more of a profit store.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
