Just wondering a friend told me he had been making some very rude comments to her

If Larry Barker says anything to anybody, it will be rude. He just does it for attention. Just throw him in with all the other Salem wierdos and accept him as he is.

His wife is gravely ill so I am sure even Larry's heart hurts right now. My prayers are with his family.

My thoughts are also with Larry and his family and I hope his wife can get better fast and make a full recovery in time.

Why do people feel the need to trash someone just for the sake of being mean and vindictive

If you have something negative to say about someone--be man enough to put your name to it. Larry's wife passed away...find someone else to trash talk.... or just find something else to do like grow up! How childish to post things that are degrading!

really---funny he rents house to people all the time and MOST of them don't pay their rent and then he is the bad guy when he finally kicks them out!!! Then he is badmouthed for kicking them out, but no one ever says well they deserved to be kicked out they never PAID rent! Well just to state my feelings on the matter. Have you ever looked at the homes he rents out. No wonder he gets people that cant or wont pay. It is also sad that he just buys the properties is poor condition does not make any improvements rents them out and doesnt seem to care the condition they get in. Just milk them for all the pay he can get and screw salem who cares what they look like and if they fall down around the ears of the renters. This is not responsible property management and we all pay for it with the diminished value of surounding real estate and the general poor look of our town. Most cities have laws against slum lords. Ask yourself a question if you where a real estate investor would you buy a property next door to one of larry's rentals.

Sorry you don't have enough education to speak without being foul. I have no problem telling him what i think about what he is doing and have done so. Apparently you don't understand that this is a public forum where people come to voice opinions and exchange information. If you don't like what you read then write a response with some intelligence or just dont come here. If it doesn't bother you that someone can degrade the housing and beauty of our city then you are as ignorant as your words. Asnwer the question is asked would you buy a house next to one of his rental properties expecting your investment to grow in value. Some of us want to prosper and see others prosper and raise their families in a safe, clean, and beautiful town.

I would buy or rent a house from him! He usually helps you out way poor than you give out!

You know I read all of the posts about my Dad. You can say whatever you like, but until you really know him, don't judge him. He is a good Christian man who I have seen give money to people all over Salem, and never get a penny of it back. I have seen him buy vehicles for someone and they never pay for it. My dad, helps people as much as he can and your probably one of the people who has screwed him out of something!! So stop talking SHIT about my Dad! Our family has been through enough by losing my Mom in October and then my Dad getting ill and then his brother having to have bypass surgery. One other thing that my Great-Grandmother taught me.........DON'T CALL SOMEONE ELSES KETTLE BLACK UNLESS YOU CAN GUARANTEE THAT YOURS IS BRIGHT, SHINY, AND SPOTLESS SILVER!!!!!! I appologize if I offended you. I do not have a personal problem with Mr. Barker. I think he is a nice guy. However I am strongly opposed to the way he is managing these properties and reducing the value of surrounding real estate. Not to mention the looks of our city streets. If we had some code enforcement here he would not be allowed to continue this way.

Come on over...he lives at 111 Ross Lane and we will be happy to sell you any or all of the property.. Hope you can find people that can pay rent so you can fix them up? He does the best he can..he has been the bad guy many times because people will go months without paying him and then complain because something is wrong with the house..well if he isn't getting any rent how in the heck is he suppose to fix the place up. Tired of hearing you complain about my dad... find someone else to trash talk or come on over and we will sell it all to you... and for the town looking bad it is not just the property he owns....look around town there are plenty of places that are trashy...but for some reason you need to point out my dad.
