I liked Roemer..and as a registered Independent who will vote for Obama, his position on campaign finance reform (NO SuperPac), intelligent tax reform and Eisenhower/fiscal conservatism (not the tea party version) I might have voted for him under the right circumstance. Like Gary Johnson, there's no way the right-wing of today would even consider Roemer. Even Reagan would be considered too liberal. I think Clinton was the last conservative president.

Stratton Arlington, MA	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #4 Feb 22, 2012 Roemer's problem has nothing to do with his ideological positions and everything to do with his miles-long enemies list from his years as Governor of Lousisiana. He had no success in fundraising, and ironically is tarnished with the corrupt image of Louisiana politicians even though he himself wasn't corrupt at all but quite the opposite. It also didn't help that he was seen as kissing up to the "Occupy" movement which no GOP primary voters could stomach.
