Attorneys representing the families of several people killed in a natural gas explosion last year have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against UGI.

"FINALY" the missing latinos cival lawsuit the only thing is why was the mighty whiteys settled so quickly. Than there is the guestion of did the city of allentown have any liability in this because there is always this home rule bull$$hit where insurance steering goes on regularly, ofcourse for a political contribution.
There are federal rules that prohibit this type of insurance fraud and all actors are subject to the same punishment? |

Insurance steering? Home rule? Allentown liability?
UGI had a gas line. It leaked causing an explosion that killed five and destroyed 8 homes. How is this an Allentown problem? Have anything to do with insurance steering, whatever that is? Or the home rule charter? As for the Latinos now suing. So what. There weren't part of the Hall's case and that case should have no bearing on this one. |
|
Just to throw a little gas in the mix. How wouldn't it be Allentown's problem? It was under Allentown's city streets. Wouldn't they be partically responsible for what goes on under their streets? Don't they need to inspect as well?

Questions, how many homes were rentals, who or what owned them, what city inspector passed them, and last but not least the cities neglect in not observing what alterations were made to heating unit in them. Take for instance there is a rentals were I live that on the lehighconty deed read gas heat, well it has been converted to electric by the floppers with paint brushs in hand. Another one is being bought by a women on welfare in her brothers name with no heat or water and children reside there? Now you ask were does liability lie? |

The explosion happened in the Hall's residence. It wasn't a rental property. So that's a moot point.
The gas lines are UGI's responsibility to inspect. They have the tools to check for gas leaks, not the streets department. When it comes to rental properties... Where does the liability lie? With the property owner, of course. Not all alterations are known by the city, or are inspected by city personnel. There are tens of thousands of properties. Many converted to multi unit apartments. The city with their 3 or 4 inspectors cannot possibly know about changes and alterations without someone notifying them about it. If someone rents an apartment with kids and knows the place has no heat or water, then she has to take some responsibility as well. |

Ignorance is not an excuse and claiming no knowledge is bull because right now there is an occupancy tag on a rooming house that has five units that is not on lehigh county records as such. So couch stain it is moot that you should put your feminine diaper not only on your crouch but also on your behind cause that is also leaking and that is a health hazard to yourself as well as anyone else that may sit on your couch "fecal matter".

Keep up the childish, ignorant rants. It's really working for you. I post facts. |

No not all actors are subject to the same punishment. If you are David Gasdik the one that risked a catastrophe, tampered with evidence, and stole gas from UGI for his tenants gets the charges withdrawn and only gets charged with stealing of gas I guess that means we can all steal gas and NOT get charged with anything other than theft of gas?? Lets do it!!! LOL |
|
As in the post by " Freinds " Couch Stain you pos, playing ignorance or just in your case incompatence and impatentcy is the same as the actors that have commited these horrific acts against some of the fine people that have not run away with there tails between there legs. The same should happen to the officials that have hidden the facts for so many years now palumpashitsky has his slumlordian hall of shame and how many before have hid this shit while always at the publics risk of life. |

What? What does slumlords and Pawlowski have to do with a gas explosion in a house at 13th and Allen? The house that blew up was owned by those living in it. So that has nothing to do with slumlords. The gas line in the street was leaking, what does Pawlowski have to do with that? None of your rant makes sense. |
How does a slumblord that owns an eye sore of a garage on Hanover ave and does nothing to improve his rentals get away with such acts? He not only did illegal act with the gas meter by tapping into the high pressure gas meter to benefit himself by getting paid for gas he was getting free for how many years, but to hold a state inspection license and has a speakeasy at his garage get away with that? He drinks and drives under the influence everyday but the police dept does not do a thing because the police are his friends just like the code enforcement they don't make him fix his properties that he owns. I have never seen his properties listed on the hall of shame! I guess he can do whatever he wants and gets away with it NO matter how many times he is reported to the authorities. Maybe more people need to get together and make complaints that maybe what needs to happen! He risks peoples lives everyday he gets behind the wheel of his truck while under the influence of alcohol!!! EVERYDAY!! |

Name names. Reported to the authorities by whom? If he was stealing gas from UGI, that is up to UGI to press charges and to sue him for theft of services, not the city, not the mayor and not the police. |
The UGI did sue him for the theft of the gas stolen! They got paid for the gas! Tampering with evidence is a F3 when risking a catastrophe, which the police would have to charge him and they did but withdrew the charges because they like his nasty a**. The court papers read commonwealth v David Gasdik!!! NOT UGI v Gasdik which means Commonwealth picked up the charges. Then dropped all but the theft.because he made a plea bargain with the police. He's so gay! So now he can go tap into his meters later and get free gas again! Reported to state police for having a speakeasy on his garage business that holds a state inspection license, Code enforcement for the fire hazard garage he has on Hanover ave and garbage all over his property. but his buddy Balliet always dismisses any of his charges that goes in front of him because they are buddies. This is one time he could NOT dismiss any of the charges to go to the higher courts! But he still risks peoples lives everyday when he drives under the influence! Maybe he did a bypass of a meter on 13th street that caused that explosion??? He knows a lot of people. |

Judged: 1 1 Actually no, the District Attorney would charge him, not the police. Secondly, the DA would make the plea deals, not the police. The DA represents the commonwealth, not the police. MAYBE!? You're going with "maybe" to condemn a guy? Maybe he did a bipass on 13th street? If you followed the story in the news last year. The piece of broken gas main was buried 4 feet deep under Allen street. It was brittle 85 year old cast iron. Freeze, thaw, freeze, thaw, brittle metal that doesn't expand and contract with the weather, and it cracked. There was no bipass or UGI would have been extremely quick to clear their name in the news. Gasdik? David Gasdik? Owner of Benner's Garage? Speakeasy there? Where? I know that garage. There's no second floor, a small office and only a couple of garage bays. Where could he possibly be serving people alcohol secretly there? As for his charges. I googled commonwealth v gasdik. Found a case in Massachusetts that wasn't David. If you can find the disposition on David here in PA, I'd like a link. I'm not so sure everything was plead down like you suggest. |
Well There was a few of us there in the court room and I heard what was going down. But the info on Gasdik is 351 Hanover ave is the garage address. and what you said about his garage was correct other than the fact that the three bays are nothing but clutter you can barely walk around in there when there is a vehicle in any of the two bays. the third bays you can't even get into it's so cluttered. Just like his office did you ever see that office and his desk piled up for many years of papers and clutter. well go through the office to where the nasty bathroom is and there is a refrigerator full of beer and some sodas a speakeasy is not open to all people. That's probably why you didn't know about it. But I can bet you tomorrow night you'll see that he will be there late and with the guys that go there most of the days and there will be nothing but drinking there and when they leave they will ALL BE DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE!!This has been going on for over 18 years that I know of. I have had a few beers there myself. So this is facts. The police know and the STATE know but they let him go. Why?? because he is a nasty a** white guy that sucks up the cities a**. he even has UGI workers hanging out there drinking. Again, has nothing to do with 13th and Allen. Also has nothing to do with the Allentown Police. If he has friends over for some beers, that doesn't make it a speakeasy. If the District Attorney dropped certain charges, that has nothing to do with the police. |
Nonscense. So what if he has beer in his refrigerator. He can drink and drive on his property and the cops have no jurisdiction without probable cause. What does him being white have to do with anything? Your just mad he has a better life then you, so get over it. By the way you sound like a loser who rats on people for stupid stuff that doesnt concern you. |
|
He holds a STATE inspection license. He should NOT have beer on the premises while doing STATE inspections! But he gets away with it because the police (APD) hang out there, and the city inspectors while on the clock. I don't have to rat people out GASDIK does that!! That's his job. He rats people out so he can continue to do illegal crap. But what's done in the dark will come to light! No stone goes unturned! IN NO WAY AM I A LOSER!! YOU SOUND AS THOUGH YOU SUPPORT HIS SPEAKEASY!! And he can't drive on his property because it's a clutter of a mess! One day he will be driving under the influence and hit someone then that's when he may stop drinking and driving. He's just been lucky so far!! It will all catch up to him like the stealing of gas from UGI!! |
