I dont know anyone who has went threw their program, but It seems to me that they teach all the guys to be proud that they are addicts. They all walk around town doing fundraiser and announcing they are from John 3:16, and the only thing I can think of when they tell me this is well so your an addict....I dont know..maybe Im wrong in my thinking...It just seems a lil much some times they way they flaunt it.

guest wrote: What was the initial post about? Finding out if John 3:16 will work for drug rehabilitation or bad mouthing a program initiated to help those battling addiction find salvation through God? Meth is such a powerful drug that one use can cause addiction. It is also so powerful that the only way to be saved from the addiction is through Christ Jesus. Jesus died on the cross for EVERYONE's sins, but we have to CHOSE to follow Him. He is such an awesome God that He has given us a choice. Please make the choice to seek salvation through Jesus, either through John 3:16 or a local church. No one is perfect, but if we seek to be like Jesus, He will reward us with eternal life. Not to bash religion, but sometimes you need more than faith healing. Like good old honesty. Nothing takes away someone's addiction to anything but a powerful amount of self control, self reflection, and plain old staying out of sticky situations and away from sticky people. They "graduate" this program, only the end up back in it later on... Now, that is the case with EVERY rehab or facility not designed to keep people there (yes, even prison!). That is because they teach you something, get you to pray daily about it, brainwash you, or whatever... and then you 'graduate' and (I'm assuming at this point people believe they're 'cured' of their addiction, which is more like a mental disorder or disease, not some temporary affliction, do the research) then they are thrown back into the REAL world where drugs, alcohol and scheming no good crooks are rampant. They get back out, in with a lot like that (and sometimes they are sent places like certain mower companies and are bombarded on those job sites by people with drugs in their pockets at work!) and end up relapsing and the only solution John 3:16 seems to have is come back and become cheap and free labor for various places in town. Does the place work? Sure, for some maybe even a good many. Is it a cure all? No, no rehab is. It takes action and a conscious effort daily to arrest the never ending attempts addiction makes to ruin individuals lives. Some are luckier than others and don't have it to the same degree, and therefor can leave a program like J 3:16 and be okay. No program is perfect. If they tell you it is, they're lying or don't know reality about addiction. For some, the answer is God, others a 12 step program, for some still its just a threat from some judge. Point is, there is no cure. There is no 'growing out of it' for an addict. They need something, and they need something daily. Not a program that throws you back to the wolves and assumes X amount of time is long enough for anyone. That being said, can't comment on the place itself. I've talked with guys there who laugh about it, and some who thank it for giving them back sanity. I've seen guys get out and make no changes, and guys get out and never go back to the way they were. Some even stay and help others. Some hinder. Again, its not perfect, but the free labor (in a place that is starving for jobs and employment opportunities...) is a shame. There's just something un-American about bringing free labor into places where its not even needed, and disposing of honest jobs that could be providing men and women who have not fallen to addiction with a means to feed their families.

Whether or not you believe in God, or Jesus, or whatever... You can't let someone or something else do it for you. They say God only helps those willing to help themselves. And those who don't believe in god say much the same.
There is no 'get out of jail free card' for addiction. There is no 'magic deliverance'... miracles take action, not 3-6 months at a 'boot camp' where actions and free will are not tempered but controlled.

I beg to differ,MIRACLES an DELIVERANCE happen every secound of every day!!!!And where in the BIBLE does it say GOD only helps those that help themselfs????I would love to read that if you can tell me where it's found,as I know lots of folks GOD helped, that didnt even want the help right then, but later saw it was a miracle.GOD BLESS YOU.GOD is GOD, he can do anything he wants to do.

It's like an open discussion Church service, giving testimonies, Praise an Worship, special prayer request, an alter call. I guarentee you we have "CHURCH" out there!!!!! It's Awesome!!!!!!! I thought they use to have a regular preacher out there to bring the word ...and not all are called of God to be preachers....to share the gospel, yes, but to be called of God to stand before a congregation and preach his word, no!unless Brian has confessed that the Lord has called him to be a preacher then I think he will tell you he is not a preacher. I think its a great and spiritual place but I think once you go through the program you need to mature and take your family to a "church" which John 3:16 is not according to Brian Tuggle

Bryan Tuggle is a wonderful man, called to do God's work to which he is being obedient to. And so is Beverly. And no he does not call himself a preacher, but I sure get a message from him every Sunday !!!!!! There's not too many people like Bryan an Beverly in this world, an I thank God daily for the work they are doing!!!!!!!! They are doing an AWESOME job, God Bless You.
