My backyard fence was kicked in the other day. Nothing taken. Yet. Crime here is getting ridiculous. So, I am thinking about moving to Batesville to get away from the crime and the mosquitoes. Where is a good place to live in Batesville?

You will pay more per square foot in bville and get way less quality. Not that it is the most important matter but does make a difference to some.

yes, but what are the neighbors like? I am more concerned about my safety than how great my house is. A mansion does you no good when all the houses around you are full of hoodlums and your backyard is full of mosquitoes. Thanks for the info, yall. I will research those places :)

Eagle Mountain no longer holds the clout it once did. Too many people tried to move up there to improve their social status, but they downgraded the community.

Try Clearview or Riverview, they are quiet family neighborhoods.

Sulphur Rock is wonderful! If you have kids you will love Sulphur Rock magnet school. There are a few houses for sale and the neighbors are like family around there!! Stay away from west side..

"Bug Pine" sounds real nice.. Lol
Sulphur Rock/ Moorfiled area has some nice homes too just bc they may not be subdivisions doesn't mean their are not nice homes! Sheesh stuck up a lil?
I could live in Eagle Mountain too, but choose to have land. Thankfully we can choose our school bc Eagle Mountain school is horrible!!!!

In my opinion I think that you just need to look around for yourself...the areas mentioned are good places but just because certain parts of this town are stereotyped doesn't exactly make them all bad areas.I think it all depends on your surroundings. If you are living next to homes that are owned versus rentals, I guarantee you will be better off. So find something your interested in and talk to your neighbors about crime rate that they have experienced before you make your decision. Good luck!
