Betty Hudson's Murder

In 1998, a woman named Betty Hudson was murdered in her home in Prentiss. Virtually nothing is on the Internet on that murder - but I understand there was never any arrest.

I am wondering why.

Anyone have any information on this murder????

Yes, they know who did it, but for some reason the DA will not take it to trial. Her family has been trying to get justice for her for quite some time, but the little drug dealers involved apparently have protection - at least that's the only reason I can figure out as to why they have not already done something.

They know who was in the house, what was said, etc. etc.

You honestly think drug dealers killed her? Not her cheating husband who wanted a divorce and didn't want to give her half of all they'd earned? Interesting...why don't you look into a man who was friends with Woodley and who went from rags to riches shortly after her murder. PS_He isnt a dope dealer.

Divorce.....that interesting. What make you think that? And I'm really curious who the rags-to-riches fellow may be.

ITs a conspiracy Malone. I'm telling you right now, someone, somewhere is afraid that the truth is going to get out.

The truth WILL get out eventually, there's no way around it. Murders do not happen invisibly in broad daylight hours. Witnesses are out there, someone saw something of importance; someone heard something of importance; and someone knows who took the life of Betty Hudson. Do you know the truth? I'm not convinced on the conspiracy theory; not convinced there isn't. My opinion is, she knew her killer and something went terribly wrong between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 noon when her body was discovered by firefighters.

Try reposting them to see what happens. Why not try using FOIA to acquire information. Perhaps the gentleman who did the article on Corye Maye, agitator.com might be able to give you some tips or may show an interest. He has garnered attention worldwide to the Corey Maye case.

drug dealer, you must know something about her "cheating" husband. what leads you to think he was cheating? just curious....

Simply not impressed with the Agitator. I think he is just what his name suggest. But then again...it depends on who he is agitating...

I no longer live in the area so I am not familiar with this murder. However, why doesn't everyone post what they know and see what information you can gather. Curiously, there is no information on the internet at all about this murder. FOIA may be a start and spending time talking to people in the town. family members or friends living in the city would be able to acquire more information than someone who does not live there.It still has that small town culture where information is not shared openly with strangers. You don't have to be impressed with someone to use the knowledge they have. Prentiss has definitely changed over the years, I am always astonished at the level of crime there for such a small town.

that's truly a curiosity. You know another suggestion that I had was to contact the reporter that did the civil rights murders for the Jackson paper. I viewed some info you had on another site perhaps ,you should use that site to continue your discussions.

just viewed information, I'm with the gentleman who stated"conspiracy" and cover up.There are too many individuals with a long reach in government agencies not to have any information,results or follow up. You need to peak the interest of a good investigative reporter or one of the writers for television shows that show/solve unsolved mysteries.However, with Prentiss being such a small town and everyone is always in everyone's else business, my thoughts are the answer is with the circle of family and friends.Fear is the motivation to remain silent.You could always write a best seller.
