Huddle House Needs Night Shift Manager

So last night I went to huddle house and I must say, I was disgusted! I didn't know if I was at a food establishment or a zoo! I heard about everything from fireworks to what they were going to do when they got off work, you name it, I heard about it while waiting for my food. I even seen the younger girl hold a plate over her shoulder and rub her hair all over and then put someone's food on it and serve it! I called in my order, waited 20 minutes and then I went to pick it up. Upon arrival I waited an additional 30-45 minutes. I could understand the wait if they were busy, however there were only three tables with customers and four employees on duty. Not to mention after waiting as long as I did, you would think my cheeseburger would have been cooked thoroughly. Hell, It should have been cooked to a crisp as long as I waited! Those black ladies that work there are just plain RUDE, not to mention lazy and think they're ENTITLED to a tip. Maybe someone needs to remind them that tips are for servers who provide quality service. I even heard the one with the long braids tell one of the other girls not ring me up, to wait for the other (white) lady to do it. They are not only rude to the customers, but god forbid a poor little white girl be stuck on the shift with them. She'll be bullied and talked down to all night. They'll even talk about the white girl to the customers. I've seen it numerouos times! I've even seen (back last year) one of the young white girls cry because of being treated so badly by the black ladies (bullies) working. You can stand in line 30 minutes, but if a black person comes in they will take their order and even prepare it ahead of you(even though you've waited thiry minutes). A lady came in to place an order, and even though the white lady was busy waiting on customers at a table, the three black ladies stood engaged in conversation and waited for the white lady to come take the order, you know... because it was her job. It's like they're afraid they might do someone else's job or something. Huddle house needs a RESPONSIBLE manager on duty at night. Those night shift employess are rude, nasty, lazy, and racist. That big black lady, the jamaican looking one(not working last night) with the scary hair has a mouth like a foghorn and I've seen her scratch her rear end and go right on cooking! I don't know who their manager is , but he/she needs to take charge of his/her employees and the health dept. needs to make a surprise night shift visit. I hope you guys don't have any other customers as unsatisfied as I was. Shape up or ship out!

The owner knows,he just sees dollar signs,try hardees in d`ville,I made the circle 3 times and still had the wrong order,plus they hardly ever wear gloves,a white boy made a sandwich just after he scratched his behind,no way.but white girls think they are to good to waitress,so we have only the blacks,best thing is walk out call the store owner, or report them to health dept.

sounds like ya'll are just racist! try going to Quick & Handy those white ladies that work the front counter are really racist. I get treated badly every time I go in there.

WRONG ! Those white ladies treat me just like they do everybody else. It may be your attitude but they too many of us black people that go in there for you to say that.

I hope you weren't referring to me as racist. My best friend growing up was black. I'm not racist, god created us all. My problem was not with the color of the employees, but with their attitudes and the service provided by them. Why is that CERTAIN PEOPLE feel the need to turn EVERYTHING into a racial thing and the ones yelling "racial descrimination" are the most racist ones of us all. Stop feeling sorry for yourselves and stop being so damn racist!

And to prove what I stated above, I am white- and there are some white employees at Harvey's that act like they're allergic to WORK!! So race is defintely not an issue- attitude is everything!

I am also white,but I did notice how your first post was broken down into the bad black people and the poor good white people.Also it sounds like you go to the Huddle House often,if the service is that bad and the place and the bad black people are that nasty I think I would start cooking my own bacon and eggs.

Obviously you've never been to the huddle house at night. What I said was "god forbid a poor little white girl be stuck on the night shift, she will be bullied all night". maybe you should visit huddle house during the night shift and then you would understand why I made that statement. There are some white people working there that aren't so great either. They have one white lady that can't get off her cell phone and stay inside long enough to do her job, but my problem wasn't with her since she wasn't responsible for serving me, so there was no need for me to say anything about her. When she does something that offends me or I find to be innapropriate, that affects me directly then I will probably say something about her as well. I don't just go around talking about people who haven't done anything to affect me directly. I wasn't being racist, I was being honest, something a few others in our area should try! I do visit huddle house often, though it's usually during the day and I'm very satisfied with the food and service I get from the day shift. Sadly, I can't say the same for the night shift. Sure I'd much rather not have to eat the food from the night shift, but given my work schedule sometimes I'm left with no choice. The last thing you wanna do after working 12-14 hours and getting off at midnight or later, is go home and cook. Usually if I do have to eat from there during night shift, I go in and place my order so I can watch as it's prepared. Maybe I was wrong in my assumption, but I was under the impression this was a food esteblishment open 24 hours and that I should be able to get decent food and atleast half ass decent service, no matter what time it is. I mean that is after all what they are getting paid for! I don't care about their skin color at all. What I care about is the quality (or lack of) of service that I receive and then to think they have the audacity to add a 10% gratuity charge to my total. Not that I care about the extra 10% charge, I'd gladly give the day shift employees 20%. But the night shift employees should be tipping the customers for the bs we endure just to get our order taken, not to mention the bs when you get there to pick it up! Hell, half the time they don't even answer the phone. They take it off the hook half the time or if they do answer, it's only to tell you they can't take call-ins at night anymore. I guess it depends on who's working or what kind of mood they're in. If they do take your call-in order, it's useless as you will usually find that you could have gone in, ordered, and eaten in less time! Maybe you should visit the place sometimes at night.

Word of advice to all the above. Learn how to cook your own food at home. Better Yet, quit eating that garbage that restaurants in D'ville dish out. It's full of spit! I once saw a young lady SPIT SHINING the forks and such as she was rolling them up. Yuck!!!!!!!

Anybody that goes to the Huddle House after midnight on a weekend has to have their head examined. I will cook my eggs at home instead of going into that zoo. Best way to show someone they need to change is to stop going into the place... break em....make em wonder why their profits are going down. You can't change it by going there. Go somewhere else or go home

I worked 3 Squares a short while, some of it on that all night shift, I am white and was was not treated bad by any other employee, and the reason I don't work there any more, THE CUSTOMERS! They {all shifts} run your butt off filling their tea, getting then everything they need and more, and don't leave you one thin dime! Yes, the waitresses expect tips, they only get paid a few dollars and tips are the most part of their pay, and I waited on my customers VERY good. You can't kiss their hateful ass enough to get a tip. Then leave the table like a pig slop pan! It's people of all ages, but boy when those older ones, you know the ones that think they are above the rest of us, come in, you know you just worked that table for nothing. And when you come in regular enough, yes your going to get slow service, because the waitresses are arguing over who is going to be stuck with waiting on you! I watched alot of upity Dville residents come in get great service, 20 glasses of tea or coffee, make a big mess, and takes 5 minutes to clean up the table and no tip. Maybe the people going into eat should have respect, then your servers would.

There is nothing remotely appetizing about the establishment or any of the staff I have seen working there. I would suggest learning to cook for yourself.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different set of results!
