Do you think about the school system in Johnson Co and how much they back each other up right or wrong, they are true partners. This is a town full of discriminating people. If your bank account isn't fat or you don't have a well rooted last name forget it, the rules do not apply here.

In some ways I would have to agree with you. We moved to Johnson County six years ago and we find everything out second hand. We moved to Wrightsville last year and nobody tells you anything. They still segregate themselves between the races. I get funny looks if I say good morning to the wrong person.
As for the school system, they have done wonderful things for my son. The problem is the sports teams and other clubs are all run by people who have lived in the area for several generations. They do not trying something new and will literally try to chase you out of town if you press the point. |

I do sadly agree with both comments made by Bob and Duluth, Ga. I have lived here in Johnson County all of my days and I have had problems with the school myself. I have a child that is not up ith his age if you know what I mean. He was being picked on by other kids on the bus and the bus driver said it was not here problem. I had to take my problem to the school superintend. And the road I live on was to pave the road years ago and it seems like we are the wrong type so the road is still the same.

I have to agree with these comments considering that I went to school here. To make it more interesting, you would feel like that you were in 1949 (sometimes 1849, depending on their moods.)
