I am a native born Kansan. born here in Coffeyville. I am also an American first= there fore I vote. In this case voting for the Democrats is way the lesser of two evils. Am tired of pensions being denied in the name of corporate profits and the chamber of commerce driving wages down in the name of greedy good business. Democrats may be thieves also but at least they give the working man a fair share of the wealth after he works for it.
"GIVE", "FAIR SHARE" "after he works for it"?

your DEMOCRATIC led congress just added to the give away and added to the fair share by taking from those that happen to still be working and giving it to those that arent. "because its only fair to give to those that havent earned it? just more slavery being spread around by the progressive liberals who want bigger government control and more say so in how I spend MY HARD EARNED DOLLAR. how about this concept, I DECIDE who i help, not them. keep your hands out of my pocket while you peddle your cool aid.

Brownback is dangerous. He is the member of a religous cult that openly calls for throwing away the constitutional precept of separation of church and state. He wants to "christinize" all government. God talks to him. He also hangs out with a guy named Engle that openly supports the execution of gay people. And...and....Those guys above are correct. Sam will slash state support to schools and rural districts will have no choice but to raise the local property tax to support a bare minimum of educational services. Vote Tom Holland. A real Kansan, not a Washington nut case.
Absolutely right. Brownback is a religious zealot. No more right wing ultra conservatives. Time for a centrist like Holland.

it is sad when people vote for someone based on what affiliation they are.
Brownback isn't great for Kansas and people need to see past politics and look at the candidates at hand

Looks like the Democrats are hitting the message boards with some force! How else do you explain a huge majority for subpar Democrat candidates in a traditionally heavily-Red state, much less in a year that is trending in the Republicans favor. Unfortunately for you, an informed person can see directly through this misinformation campaign. The Koch Family, and their hugely successful company, is based in Wichita (which, last I checked, was still in Kansas.) Brownback is honest about his religious beliefs, which happen to be in line with most of Kansas, a socially-conservative (but not radically Christian) state. Brownback is also considered fairly moderate economically, especially relative to this year's Republican crop. The reason wages are driven down and the job market is stagnant is because of an anti-business atmosphere and uncertainty about future taxes, regulations, etc.

Nice try, Democrats. Al Gore may have invented the internet, but conservatives know how to use it, too!

I dont want a one party state, but I can't vote democrat either, not with what that party has done to the country in the past couple years. call it a wasted vote, but at least I can vote with a completely clear conscience. how many people can do that these days?

I'm surprised by the amount of democrat/moderate comments on here considering the majority of comments on other threads in the Ft Scott forum. I hope it's an accurate representation.

We will probably have an another civil war. Only this time, againest republicans and democratics and the independents will just laugh. Watch them kill each other off. Then maybe, the independents will have a chance. lol. But then again the republican will probably still win. Just because, they weren't stupid enough to give their guns to Obama.
