Suspect Arrested In Bartlesville Stabbing Death

This is a terrible thing for anyone to have to face. We know the mother of the victim and our hearts go out to her and the family. I hope that Bartlesville gives this man the maximum penalty for his offense. It is a terrible tragedy that this family has to deal with. His children will no longer have a father, his sister no longer has a brother, his mother no longer has a son. This next year will be a hard time of "firsts" for them. First Thanksgiving without him, first Christmas without him, first birthdays without him, first fathers day....God bless this family in their time of sorrow.

Haveing grown up in Bartlesville, I know both families. My thoughts and prayers go out to both the families involved in this case. I know there will be a lot of bashing and presumptions here. One important fact that needs to be known is that the victim was beating his pregnant wife and kicking her in the stomach. She is still in the hospital. Paul was only trying to help this pregnant woman...some will call him a hero.

How ridiculous this is and a waste too! Women/men are a dime a dozen, they are replaceable. If you ever have to fight over anyone, then you probably don't need to be with that person. You lose one, go get another one. You don't have too lose your mind or your life over some person, unless you are defending that person. My condolences to the family of the deceased.

I agree with you.If you are any person that cares then you will not stand bye and watch someone beat on.What makes it worse is she was pregnant.

Evayieon~They were not fighting over a woman. Paul was trying to get him off of his pregnant wife (the victim's wife)he was beating her and kicking her in the stomach. I feel bad for both of the families...I know both of them. Paul was only trying to save his friend's wife...he never meant to kill him he was just trying to get him to stop.

Huh~No they fought & the victim was winning so went back to beating his pregnant wife. Then back to beating on Paul...he did the only thing he could do to stop him his intentions were NEVER to kill him.

To Just a Girl...you are just a girl, not GOD and you do not have the right to judge and condemn someone. Allow this man to rest in peace and his family to grieve without people like you out here making such comments about their son, brother and father. As for the man who did not intend to kill Steve, he stabbed him in the heart, he took this man's life with a knife. They called the police instead of an ambulance. No situation justifies using a weapon and taking a man's life. I have no ideal if your allegations are true, it does not matter to me, the Steve I knew helped me when I was in a bad situation, he made me feel safe and treated me with kindness. We all make mistakes in life, we all make bad choices and we will all will have our judgement day, including the man who took a man's life. My heart goes out to Steve's family. Just a girl... If you know the family so well then you would know Steve was not married to this girl. You would also know that he would never hit a woman. You should be quiet rather than stir things up and make things worse for his family. I am quite certain you were not there when all this happened, so really do us all a favor and have some respect by not posting things you do not know to be true! RIP Steve! Your million dollar smile will be missed.

I wonder why nothing like that was said on TV or other news reports. Something as serious as putting a pregnant woman in the hospital due to a beating would surely draw a little attention.
Just the suggestion of a 1st or 2nd degree murder charge would indicate a different motive other than coming to the aid of this woman.

this is my dad he is not a murder. Rippy and him were best friends. He would never purposly stab him. I would like to say that my dad is never nor will ever be a murder. and me and my sister are going threw a hard time right now becuase we are getting phone calls saying it was our faults. How are you going to set there and get into trouble for defending a pregnant women who was getting beat by her boyfriend. And you end up in jail and or prison for that. what kind of world have we turned into. really we have no Justice or Democracy anymore.

i hope he spends life in prison for what he did to him.

IF he was beating and kicking a woman in her condition,he needed to be stopped.IF thatis true it will come out at his trial.so until then lets not say things to hurt either family.

First of all, if Paul was being beaten so bad then why is there no bruises or cuts at ALL in his mugshot??? HE killed MY COUSIN! He went there with a KNIFE and stabbed him in the heart. And he was not beating his "pregnant girlfriend" and if so why didn't she call 911??? even after he was stabbed she chose not to call 911....WOW! I hope she goes to PRISON TOO!
