Recently there was a sewer problem in Ward 3. Bob was there to see what was going on, but apparently Amato was called by another council member and he showed up, too.

Does Amato not realize he isn't a City official anymore? Why is he showing up at a place acting like he is the important one?

He told me Monday evening that he was there because some residents had asked him to come, even after he reminded them he was not on the council any longer.

...Since the "rockstar" retired, lost the mayoral race and he hasn't found another hobby yet, he's trying to recapture the glory of his former "elected official" status, humor him. Look for him to be "running" to take Joyce's seat, but I don't think the City of Arnold could afford to have him running around "finding" money for his pet projects.

Bill,

I hate tobreak it to you, but that isn't the story I've been told by a person that lives there and witnessed what happened.

Ah yes, Monday, where else did you go on Monday evening Bill? Spreading a little good cheer? Be careful where you tread wouldn't want people to think you were attempting to shake down businesses.

You might just check on that Candy. This whole thing started on Saturday. Sunday was when most of the action took place.

Actually after the JCL PAC meeting I spent some time at Katie's eating a sundae and getting another perspective on what was related on another link in this site.

Bill,

you know what they say about assuming. What makes you think that I talked to them on Saturday, Sunday or maybe I talked to them on Monday or yesterday.

I think there needs tobe an investigation about City employees giving information to Amato, or any non City official for that matter. Any employee caught will be reprimanded. Two reprimandsand out the door.

So it will be against city policy for a city employee to speak to a non-city employee? That could be done.

We can have an employment office at the front door manned by non-city employees to preclude violating policy item 1. Once they pass a simple background check, we can hire them in two to three days and they may approach the city clerk's office or the court clerk's office. It takes a little bit longer to get to the community development director's office as you have to actually sign in or get buzzed in. On the way out of the building we can hand them their paystub and fire them before benefits are actually due to be provided.

Police officers can have a thumbprint machine where we can hire traffic offenders on the spot, ticket them and then fire them. Of course they will have to be re-hired before they come to traffic court or the clerk's office to pay the fine or see the municipal judge.

This is doable. Bring it up at the council meeting Candy. I think that you are really on to something with this one.

That seems like a round about way of saying you do not agree with CC's Idea.

I do not find odd that people would call Phil for help if they need it. He has been the person to call for a very long time now. I have had a couple of calls this year from ward 2 residents, even though I am not living in Arnold. For one call I went to a council meeting, and another I handled it through E-Mail. So, I do not see the big deal with someone calling Phil.

As to why Phil would respond. I do not know. I am not running for anything in Arnold, and I went when called. People who I represented in the past trusted me enough to ask for help now. So I responded to their calls. Why is this a bad thing?

A fair assessment.

I think there should be an investigation on the claim by ArnoldCC that councilman Bob Lindsley suffers Alzheimers.

You are right CC, Amato should not be allowed to take a crap with out calling you first. In fact , we should fire the Mayor, the council and police. You can put your phone # on the water tower and we can all call you for advice. GET A LIFE.

Maybe Amato could get a camera and tape the council meetings. Then we could get both sides of the story.

Bill,

you know that isn't what I meant and you posting that is very childish. It just seems like some ex-officials have moles in City Hall and are getting information they should not have. Those City employees are the ones I am talking about and you know it.

Yesterday Bob proved to me he doesn't even come close to having Alzheimers. He investigated our concerns and even came by personally to show the residents what was in the works and exactly where the billboard was going to go...and it is over 600 feet away from Hickory Ridge Trail. Whoever typed the notice made it very misleading. He also explained several other things about the ladscape business going in there and is making every effort to make sure it is in the resident's favor.

All I have to say is shame on Bill for lying about what Lindsley said. Hey Bill, you know it is hard to call someone when their phone numbers were not even on the website! Wonder who was behind that one?!

And NO AMNESTY, maybe you should get a life. The fact that there are City employees leaking confidential information and conversations to a person they know they shouldn't be is a very big concern.

The notice on the city website states the billboard is approximately 688 feet from the closest house in Hickory Manor. What is so "very misleading" about that statement?

Answer: NOTHING.

The original notice that we were given did NOT state that. Itstated that it would be towering above the houses and was at the end of Hickory Ridge Trail. The notice has since been changed since we got it.

I might be wrong, but I believe CC is referring to the flyer/notice that was distributed to the residents in her subdivision.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Capricorn

You're in a very generous and kind frame of mind today, and you'll go out of your way to help others if you think they need it. You might donate some money to a good cause or decide that charity begins at home. If you're buying gifts for some of your loved ones it will be difficult to know when to stop, because you could easily get carried away.
