Developing: Shooting In Barnhart; SWAT Team on Scene

I just drove by the subdivision and it's in Imperial not Barnhart. They had the entrance blocked off with cars.

My prayers are with the officer ans his family!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the police officer who was shot in Jefferson County.

I know the suspects family. This is a good family. Why do you not pray for his family as well. That would be the Christian thing to do.

This is a shame. I too know the suspects family. My thoughts and prayers go out to both the Deputy's and suspect's family.

I agree all involved are in my thoughts and prayer. Because we all make mistakes daily and the Lord forgives us daily!

if such a good family, did they not teach their child not to play with guns? shoot at police officers? Break into peoples homes? So yes all of our prayers should go to the police officer!!! a HONEST man trying to make a living by doing the right thing, not breaking the law!!!

Yeah lets pray for the guy shot in the arm. Screw the 17 year old dummy that got shot in the chest 2x. I find that hypocritical.

I know the deputy and he will be fine. I am glad they came out the survivors. As for the suspects... I feel for the family, but he got what he deserves. This was more than making a "mistake" and don't push the christian issue. Throwing rocks in a glass house is never good.

It will be interesting to read the details of this case. There seems to have been a percipitous uptick in shootings and violent crime down in Jefferson county. Is it drug related or due to the economic downturn?

Can Fox 2 pay someone to spell check every once in awhile?

Sorry to get off topic, but I agree with Mike. It can be real difficult to read a news story with so many words spelled incorrectly. I sent an email to them a few months ago about it, but it didn't seem to help.

He became an Adult as soon as he committed his first feloney crime. Don't get me wrong I understand where you are trying to come from. You are drinking from the same Kool-Aid a lot of knuckle heads out there are. You think, man I hate cops because they always would break up our high school parties, or they gave a DWI because I was driving drunk....the nerve of them. Our did they make you dump your little baggy of pot out on the side of the highway once.
