Personally, I like to buy all of my meat from Herrell's. He has GREAT meat. Better than any supermarket. Some restaurants get from him, too, from what I understand.

1 When I was doing meat shoots a lot more often than I have time for now at the VFW Hall off Miller, all the meat came from Herrells. Needless to say, the ribs I won that came from Herrells were spectacular. |

2 How do you cook your ribs? I have never had much luck with cooking ribs on the grill. |

1 The secret is to boil them first and then grill them. Actually, the best set of ribs I won from Herrell's I boiled first and then let them simmer in BBQ sauce in the oven because it was freezing cold outside and I was not going to stand out and grill. |

2 I can never get mine tender to where they fall off the bone. They always end up tough. |

1 I prefer heating the grill HOT first, putting the ribs (or any other meat for that matter), on one side, then turning off the heat on that side (gas grill), or moving them away from the heat and cooking indirectly. I like to use hickory chips or some other wood chips, soaked well, and keeping a little moisture in the grill. Takes longer this way, but the meat stays tender. Oh, and NO salt before cooking. Dries the meat.. We switch up sauces, but currently the Jack Daniels sauces are good. Oh, and garlic powder instead of salt Yum. |

1 Nick, that is the way my dad BBQ's. Sherry, the white vinegar is a good idea. It breaks down the meat so they are more tender. It is something I learned in chemistry. How much vinegar do you put in per part of water? Do any of you guys/gal separate anything off of the ribs before cooking/boiling them? |

6 I have not done anything to you. You need to get over whatever your problems are with me and get on with your life. I asked a simple question and that was it. How much vinegar per part of water do you boil your ribs in? Here I am trying to be cordial and nice and you just can't stand that and have to go out of your way to try to get me to be rude. It's not going to happen. You can either be nice with me or continue to bash me and I won't respond. It's that simple. Every time you have come on here I have tried to be nice to you and you just come on here to bash me. Why try to provoke something? I guess that I would have to ask you the same question you just asked me with the way you are acting on here. Like I said, we can either be nice to each other, or you can continue to bash me and I'll not respond to your bashing. Your choice. |

Anyone been to Case 'N Bucks lately? They separated their bar from the rest of the restaurant and it isn't smoky anymore. The food when we went was great and the price was reasonable for the generous portions we got. However, the restaurant wasn't full like I was used to seeing it. Anyone have a clue as to why?
