County Morgue

Does anyone have any info on the old motel that closed down and later became The County Morgue haunted house around Halloween? I have lots of memories of it as a spook house back in the 70's and 80's (super scary!) but never knew anything about it during it's hey day before it was abandoned. Drive by there now and all that's left is the foundation. Would love to hear any stories before or after.

My aunt and uncle (in their 60's now) spent their honeymoon there. So at one point, it must have been a hotel or something.

I am also in my late 60's and I believe at one time it was a motel or something. I also remember a beautiful swimming pool which was surrounded by rock. Not sure when it was built but it was around when young.

Anybody know the original hotel name? My stepfather remembers it when it was open, said he met some friends there many times and swam in the pool but he can't remember the name either. He says the place was haunted too, ha!
