Bank in the spring Jefferson County 911 managed voter approval for a 0.5% sales tax to fund upgrades to its systems.

A few days ago St Louis County 911 managed voter approval for a 0.1% sales tax to fund upgrades to its systems.

So, why does Jefferson County 911 need a rate that is 5 times higher than St Louis County 911?

Maybe because St. Louis Co. has about five times the population, many more retail businesses, and less land area than Jefferson Co. does.
