I see more & more children in foster care being moved around so much these kids have no clue where they belong. I guarantee the parents didn't do half the crap my daughter in law did with abusing the babies & robbing gas stations & nursing homes. The scaldings , slapping in the face, leaving the 4 year old home to babysit his year old brother. Bruising the 2 yr. old bottom. the judge in marysville said to me this was all normal child raising. So since our laws have changed why so many kids in foster care? Leave the kids alone til the parents kill them. we had one boy left in a home alone after the foster parents up & left him without notifying anyone they were leaving the state. they must be related to our judge here. I guess that too is normal.

Your daughter-in-law did all that you stated above? I guess I missed hearing about that.

Hell that's just a small part of my daughter in laws doings. she works in nursing homes & after work she steals the food from the freezers. & best of all good ole walmart with their self checkouts. she walks in with $50.00 in her wallet than walks out with $300.00 in purchesses as she tells it she is a pro.

Wow. I am not from this area and I am adopting a child who is from this area. He has aspergers, but was also abused very badly, while everyone in his community turned a blind eye to the abuse. Believe it or not, aspergers is only a MILD problem compared to all the other stressors that occured during this child's formative years. Nowhere else in the nation have I met pediatricians, clergy, and teachers who would keep quiet about this kind of crap and allow it to continue. I would have to say they knew about it, too; since the biomother had other children taken away from her and her rights to them had been terminated.

Are the adoption agencies in this area reasonable to deal with? My husband and I are foster parents and are hoping to adopt a child. We have much love to give and are doing well financially. Any comments are appreciated.

I am adopting a kid, and I have not had a problem. No agency involved, though. All u need to do is see a lawyer who handles stuff with children (interview the lawyer carefully, though; you don't want someone who doesn't care about kids) and petition the court. It does cost money though, and it does take time. And the state is required to consider the rights of the biological parents, so hopefully your attorney will be able to tell you right away whether you will be likely to be able to adopt the child or not.

yes they do turn a blind eye to the abuse that is going on with these precious babies. the judge took my rights as a grand parent away after these babies have depended on my protecting them since birth from my daughter in law. we lived a nightmare only to have that judge say it was all normal. I've never wish bad on any human in my life til the day i left the marysville courthouse. & believe me if i saw that judge laying in a road on fire I wouldn't waste my spit to put her out. I'd sit & watch her live the same torture she claim was normal on my grand babies than maybe she'll change her new law when it comes to abuse.

Does the judge believe everything you have stated? Has this judge been presented with proof of abuses that would legally enable her to act?
Grandparents' rights are also controversial and ever-changing. They are not as fundamental as parental rights by any means. Do the children have an ad litem or best interest attorney?
