While it is sad that animals are not treated there with dignity, how much are you people spending to sponsor these animals? Why not have a few of the dogs and/or cats into your house to foster them until they are adopted? Do you donate your time or money to help with the extensive cost of maintaining and treating these animals? Until you are willing to REALLY step up, you cant sit there and castigate others about what should be done.

This isn't about whether or not anyone agrees with PETA....you can go up there tomorrow, and see exactly how horrible this place is.
AMEN! This place is deplorable. I suspect the folks who run this place don't give a hoot about these animals. Those people will have to answer to a higher power one day. On and for the guy who says not to jump on the PETA bandwagon. We're not. People that live in H'ville KNOW how bad this place is. Like Sarah says, just go up there and take a look around one day.

It is the very people who donate time and money to saving animals that are criticizing All Creatures. They understand what good animal care is and it is not what you see at All Creatures. They have been given millions of dollars over the years and it has not gone to giving the animals a decent life. The question is where does it go? Up their noses perhaps?

Uh, currently fostering 2 dogs. Have adopted 2 others oh, and the 2 cats that I haver were also adopted after having been fostered by me. I have a large fenced in yard with a doggy door for my pets to come and go as they please. They are seen by my vet on a regular basis. The dogs ARE healthy, happy and are going to make someone wonderful pets. As soon as they are adopted I'll take in two more.

So before YOU start generalizing YOU need to realize, that some of us truly are animal lovers and do things the RIGHT way!!!!!!

So where is the criticism for PETA? They have been 'investigating' for 7 months? They should be part of the solution and not just sitting back making press releases. Put up the money to get this shelter where it should be.

Ok, number one, stop yelling at me. Number two, I wasnt generalizing. I was asking a question to make a point. Good for you that you are willing and able to foster dogs and cats. Seriously, that's great. However, there are MANY people on here who love to complain about the staus quo and refuse to step up and do something about it.

Sorry, but yes we can...and do! Animals have been adopted from there, money, supplies, and food have been donated - and All Creatures still take in more and more animals that they cannot (or will not) care for properly. It is so good to hear that finally they will be stopped in Hendersonville and hopefully their history will precede them to SC or wherever they try to "set up" again. They probably did have good intentions in the beginning...but surely you've heard the saying "The road to ---- is paved with good intentions".

Want to know where the millions go. Many Board & exec has no income, yet they live in houses that were donated to the shelter rather than sell and use the money to support the animals. One attorney was paid in excess of $ 30,000 for representation yet vps stated services, gratis. They eat out frequently while the animals starve. Fines have to be paid for warrants served that have nothing to do with the shelter. Could go on and on, and on, and on,.....

Damn animal hoarders. I've BEEN to Kim's place "All Creatures" and I adopted my companion animal from there. She has PERMANENT LUNG DAMAGE from inhaling the cleaning solution fumes (and from TOTAL NEGLECT). THEY DO NOT VET THEIR ANIMALS. She also had worms, infections, WAS NOT SPAYED, has chronic conditions from appalling neglect she receieved while at this hoarding facility. There ARE some things worse than death, and living at All Creatures IS one of them.
YAY for PETA!!!! BRAVO!!!! SHUT THESE MONEY-GRUBBING, ANIMAL-EXPLOITING, ANIMAL-ABUSING, SICK PEOPLE DOWN!(And please spay/neuter your animals!)
Thank you.

Nikki, you must be an employee at All Creatures. Or perhaps you're legally blind. No, really, the facility has been "cleaned up" a little, only where the public is allowed to be. BEHIND THE SCENES IT'S A LIVING NIGHTMARE. WHY WOULD PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN BEHIND THE SCENES AT THIS PLACE BE MAKING THINGS UP? WE'RE NOT. IT'S ALL TRUE. THE PLACE IS A DUNGEON, TORTURE-CHAMBER FROM HELL. THERE ARE HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF ANIMALS SUFFERING THERE AND OTHER PLACES, WHERE KIM AND HER COHORTS HAVE STASHED ANIMALS.

It was 24 degrees in Asheville the night before last.
There are hundreds of animals living OUTDOORS, under a lean-to, who have NO SHELTER from the cold, wind, rain, sleet, snow. WOULD YOU SPEND EVEN ONE NIGHT OUT LIKE THAT??????

THERE IS NO HEAT IN THE BUILDING, EITHER.

Is there some reason we can't get about 100 people together, drive there and take it upon ourselves to do what our government is either unwilling or unable to do?

If I had the money and time when I get a house of my own when I am older, that is exactly what I want to do. Take in pets from the local animal shelters - especially the old ones, everyone wants a young one. I'd give 'em a happy rest of their life.:)

Oh and NEUTER YOUR PETS!

They are all as good as dead. Run a tailpipe into the building and put them all down before the taxpayers have to foot the bill for humane relocation.
