Dammnn, can't even burn your own house down to collect the insurance on it. Guess I won't be able to collect on my soon to be burnt up vehicle. Oh, I forgot, I don't have that type insurance on it.

"• Fredricka Shontrese Williams, of Atkinson Street, Asheville, charged with school attendance law violation and failure to appear on charges of driving while license revoked and failure to stop at a stop sign or flashing light. According to warrants, Williams’ 10-year-old child, a student at Hall Fletcher Elementary School, has missed 19 days of school, including 14 unexcused absences, the arrest warrant shows. Williams’ bond was set at $1,000."
Just curious. Does somebody make a determination that a child is NOT being homeschooled before the parent gets in legal trouble for absences? |

If someone wants to home school their child, after the child is enrolled in public school, there is a process in which the child is officially withdrawn with written notice to home school given to the public school. If the child is officially withdrawn, there would be no need to follow-up on absences. We can't just stop sending our children to public schools then later say we are home schooling. |
