Anyone want to venture a guess on why there have been "NO" jail logs in standard since Jan. 29?

Whats a standard? OH you mean that 10 page know nothing rag that shows the goofs in the clique around town holding up the newspapers uspide down on their vacation. Don't waste my time nor money on it so I don't know why they failed to post a jail log, one of them or a local politician must have gotten a DUI or something.

We made a decision not to publish them in the newspaper any longer.

Our reasoning is that we can't possibly follow every arrest to see if people are

innocent or guilty. We found that more people were cleared than sentenced.

We do still collect, review and follow any special high profile arrests but not all. We do still publish all the indictments, sentencing, etc.

Which we think is a more accurate representation of due process.

Man that sucks the jail logs was my favorite part of the paper. I think that the jail logs are a good thing for the paper bc maybe just maybe if the people see how many people are getting caught and going to jail maybe they will get scared and stop committing crimes you never know. But the only reason why I read the paper is for the jail logs I think that now they no longer publish them the sales of the paper will decrease.

Hey
One of Barstowns citizens was convicted of a crime and is serving prison time in Ohio .......Am I the news paper reporter ! Why wasnt it put in the paper here for us to see.........Who covered it up and why........Just dosnt make sense to me ....Bet your butt if it was one of us not only would it be on the front page of the standard but our picture in shackles would be on the news and in the papers all over the national news.......Just my opinion

Its a fact that Mickey Pope was convicted of a high profile crime and is serving prison time in Ohio.....
Why were we as citizens of Nelson County not told about this Conviction......
Hereltls... This sounds like a special high profile crime to me ....Was this one that you allowed to slip through the cracks ? All of us remember the crime posted in the paper than that was it....How about a follow up so we can all be safe again.....
Mickey will be out in 2015 what than......

Cause there's a lot of misrepresentations and outright lies that could affect innocent people. Someone trying to stir up sh!! again.
