Has anybody heard of Tom Ballard? Is he a good Landlod? Any Info would help.

I rented from tom for 5 years he nice person but takes forever to fix things and when he does fix it its not done the correct way basicly rigged he wants his rent on time as worked with me many of times you just have to talk to him he also dont mind pets a kept the place clean and neat and for that we got along

NO NO NO PLEASE DON'T RENT FROM THIS GUY!! We rented 2 different places for 4 years from him he is AWFUL. First place we lived in of his, the windows constantly leaked, and the pipes burst 4 times, and then, when we moved, the whole place flooded-- he never sprayed for mold, and let new people move in. When we moved out we moved our bed, and there was literally a small field of MUSHROOMS (atleast 500) of tiny tiy mushrooms growing from all the water leaking in.
Second place we had, all windows leaked again, right into electrical outlets, had 2 fires at this place. because the whole place is on one electrical box--- this is at 128 cleo--- DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! For 5 months, we couldn't even turn on the electric past the living room (only could use electric in kitchen and living room)because the lights flickers from the rain coming in from the horrible roof. The electrical outlets hung out of the walls-- and were DUCT TAPED up to the wall.. The walls were filling with water from the leaky windows and they were all bowed out.. The sink was broke for 2 whole years. The place was infested with fleas, he only got it sprayed for fleas once-- and anyone knows that it takes more than one time to get rid of fleas.. I had over 150 flea bites on me my legs were covered-- and he still didn't get them to come back out... Ended up spending over 500 dollars out of my own pocket to get the place sprayed. The heater in the house started leaking gas, he didn't fix for 2 weeks, so we had to do without heat for a while. Not only that, but the neighbor's house actually burnt down from faulty wiring (same landlord). And my friend's parents house was infested with mold and when he rented out he never sprayed for mold there either. PLEASE, PLEASE, FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS GUY-- HIS PLACES ARE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

Also--- when we had a fire there--- they never ever fixed the wall in the bedroom-- we had a hole there until we moved out-- and even had to buy our own insalation. On top of that, the wire that caught fire, resembled that of a coat hanger!

So stay away from 120, 126, and 128 cleo at all costs!

you get what you get you see it before you move in so why rent from him if you know what your getting into he likes his money

i rented from him a year ago and his is a very very terrible landlord now i rent from sam wheatley and he is aan awesome landlord try and rent from him tom ballard will tell you he will have something fixed and it may get fixed 4 months from then IF it gets fixed at all including heat in the ice and snow then had the nerve to ask me if I could stay with someone else but still wanted rent!!!! he is a piece of sh@t now sam wheatley on the other hand has someone there that very same day!!!!

first of all you all are fucking stupid, Tom Ballard is an amazing person, hes the hardest working man ive ever met in my life. he would do anything to help anybody out. its not his fault u pieces of shit cant pay ur damn rent on time, get off ur asses get a job and pay for ur shit and maybe hed jump up to fix ur leaky window. quit slandering someone because ur mad u cant live in the real world. Lol, I paid my rent 3 days early, every month. Never ever was late. EVER. Our rent was due on the 3rd every month, and he always came and got it every month 3-5 days early because he was so hard up for money. You must have a different Tom Ballard--- because the one I'm talking about is a slum lord of all slum lords. And if you believe he's a good one, then you obviously haven't rented from him for very long.
And, for the record, it's not slander when it's the truth. I have photo evidence, of all the awful things wrong with our old places, along with copies of all letters I sent him with it-- that I used in court against him, and WON. thanks.

u should probably get a life. because if you have to rent from someone that u have to call a slum lord, then obviously ur a broke ass that cant afford a better place. and instead of being on topix talkng shit about other people maybe you should go get a job.

We rented from him for our first place. Of course we didn't have money- that's the only reason we rented from him, he's the cheapest place in town for a reason. Lol, but either way, I no longer live in that death trap thank god.. Not "shit talking". Someone asked a question about Tom, and I gave them an honest answer.
I have a job, thanks. I don't spend my time on Topix, hence the reason it took me so long to reply.

Do you rent from him? Or just a friend? He may be different as a landlord than as a friend. Nobody asked your opinion of everyone else's posts, they asked for the opinion of this man *as a landlord*.

yeah im his family, and i dont appreciate people saying things that arent true about him. im pretty sure you all would not want these things posted on the internet about your grandfather. you people are ridiculous, selfish and inconsiderate. you should really consider other people before you post things to this stupid website.
