What a fascinating article .It comes as no surprise that The Kentucky Standard is not addressing this as they are good at hiding information .Everyone who has money in this bank ought to read this article .The good ol boy network is alive and well in Nelson Co.See how careless they have been with your money and now the demise of one of the oldest banks in Bardstown .It's a shame what it's come to .

Conway-Heaton, Buzick Lumber and Brown & Co, CPAs are HUGE advertisers on PLG-TV. You won't see anything negative about Town & Country in the Standard for this reason.
I wonder if Insider Louisville knows that that Denise lady also did the management study that resulted in the previous COO getting terminated - how convenient.

The Ky Slander should do a story on the business dealings between Mr Conway the co-chairman of the Board and Mr Downs one of the largest creditors of the bank, who just so happened to have a company file bankruptcy that could cost the bank hundreds of thousands of dollars. I wonder if any shenanigans exist that could sink Mr Conway's reputation any lower than it already is?

I'd say it is a conflict when the bank was making loans left and right to Mr Downs to build spec homes on the development that Mr Conway's wife and he were partners in. Mr Conway's was profiting everytime a lot was sold to build one of these. Why not keep these things moving and line his own pockets.

Of course this was no more of a conflict than Denise conducting a management study and having to make a spot for herself to get a nice cushy job making $250k a year. See ya Ben! Also gotta make room for friends to give them some cushy high paying jobs as well.

I heard that John Downs quit the bank last week. They had the right guy for the job right under their nose but chose to let Terry Shelburne go. What a big mistake that was, due to the number of people who have closed out their accounts after they heard that he was fired. I wonder what other friend Miss Denise will bring to the bank and give them an elavated paycheck!!!

Lynn Ledford should be ashamed of himself for condoning and supporting the firings in March that resulted in Terry Shelburne losing his job. Especially considering that he would have been an utter failure in his job had it not been for Murna Shelburne running the bank behind the scenes. And now he's sucking a tidy sum out of the bank every paycheck. What once was a highly respected banker is now just another parasite feeding on what's left of Town & Country Bank.

Well if you are going to "move your money" then you should also learn how to use proper English.

Great ending words from a business man! We want you OFF the board so that you can't make any more unsavory decisions. It is a good thing for you that Murna Shelburne is not here to watch what is happening to the bank and to her son Terry. A dedeciated loyal and honest employee who gave 36 years to the bank. How the board could let some outsiders come in and take over the bank and put themselves in positons that were held by loyal employees. Do you really think that firing these employees with their wages would save the bank? Especially while paying the the COO and her friends $250k a year! I hope everyday that someone reminds you of what you have done to the five people you use to call your friends.

I just have to get this off my mind. How in the HELL did Terry Martindill and Tricia Newton get manager positions in Town and Country? Did Terry even graduate high school? I hate to talk bad about people but it infuriates me that there are deserving people in this town with college educations, knowledge, drive, experience who are struggling to make ends meet yet these two IDIOTS are managing others. Hey Board Members: yeah all of you who HIDE in the aisles at Wal-MArt when you see the faces of the people YOU agreed to let go, do you all even have a heart? To the rest of this community the board is just as moronic as those who are "leaders" of these banking centers. No wonder this place has been going south for a while. On the other hand, if you're uneducated, cold hearted, moronic, brown nosing, and a misfit: YOU CAN GET A JOB AS A MANAGER AT TOWN AND COUNTRY BANK! Thank God I took all of my assets out of there many years ago. Just because you have a title and an office doesn't mean you are somebody.

Word is that they had to hire 2 people to do the work of one loyal employee Terry Shelburne.
